These two are just so in sync! Again, they both came flying to the nest within seconds of each other. Shadow arrived first, then Jackie. I love the idea of a pre-planned date but really just think about how they must read each other's body language and moods to practically end up racing each other to the same spot. They are so perfect for each other! 🦅💕🦅
They worked together, nest-keeping, bonding and bumping each other while trying to move around the nest. Each visit and each stick symbolizing their commitment to each other and their intent to try again, in hopes of raising another offspring together. Their breeding season is typically January-March here in Southern California. So there's definitely major pre-planning there! 🪹💘
When Shadow was ready to call it a night, he made his way to the back porch but gets himself in a bit of an entanglement with some old furniture as he tries to fly off. 🙃
It's OK, Shadow "meant to do that". He was just bringing in some wayward sticks.🥸
He then stares off quietly, as Jackie shrugs it off and continues working. Maybe he was realizing he'd just lost a number of sticks over the edge when he got a little discombobulated. I mean, when he wrangled those rowdy sticks back into their rightful place...🤭🫠 Or maybe he was rethinking his exit strategy and decided the front porch might be a better option.🥴
When Jackie went to leave, she was probably thinking, "Somebirdy should really clean up this back patio. There's furniture everywhere."🚧⚠️ But they'll just have to plan that for another day. Hey, at least they have plenty of sticks to spare a few going over, right!?
