i hate to compare, but there's a mark difference between tasia and jennifer. there's no doubt jhud can sang, but i think tasia does more than sanging, she's uninhibited, charismatic, she tugs your soul, she connects, she's not afraid to mingle with the crowd. there's something about her spirit that pulls one to her and her stage presence is beyond any other and with all that she's so humble. she's just the total package.

I'm sorry I don't care what no one says about Fantasia her singing, voice in talking, her personality, her level of education, her looks, and how she sings a different genre of music. Some ppl say she is screams too much and that she tries to put on too much. But I honestly think this woman can out sing Beyonce. Beyonce can't touch this women. I don't care how ppl say they are two different types of singers and voices are different but this women can sing sing better then Beyonce... If Fantasia can sing like she is from an different era like that means she has some raw vocals. She can sing other famous singers music, do tributes to a lot of legends today and icons because she is that unique.

This was my favourite Tribute to Ms Aretha Franklin from the funeral. Ms Fantasia was on point with vocals and her choice of song & dress too. Blessed.
Fanny came to send Aretha home and have Sunday service on a Friday!! Skirt/dress at or below the knee... you know where she spent her days. I think if she would have sang a little more, I would have fell out! Thank you Lord for using her!!

Personally, I don't feel JH as Aretha. I know Aretha picked her personally, and but I read in an interview years ago it was toss up between both Fantasia and JH in Aretha's mind. But I personally would have prefered Fantasia!
I know for a fact that Aretha personally said that Fantasia and Ledisi were "her girls". And if we look at Fantasia she is like Aretha in the sense she can sing ANYTHING. She is also the child of a preacher. Grew up with many similar if not near identical life experiences. Fantasia would pour her heart and soul into the role.
After seeing Fantasia in The Color Purple I am convinced she should have been the one. However JH is going to kill it. We know she can act (Dreamgirls). And she is going to sing well.
