    I have a similar kit I love it the extras bits are there because they are the most used bits. They are very small and over time these are the ones that need replacement first due to wearing down. Its great the include extras.

    The two Phillips are a common misconception. As they are different, if you notice some have a pointed tip while others a round tip these are REED and PEARSON ( pointy) and a true to name Phillips head (rounded) the company seems to just have included both just not under the correct names

    Huge respect m8 that you bother speak in more clear international English accent! So much pleasant to watch when you no need to turn back video every few words to re-listen what was said out of that Indian minigun. And thanks for your tasty humor. Wish to see more reviews in tech world.

    The "big thing" bit you mentioned, is a conversion bit so you can use any of the other bits on a power drill or a bigger full sized screw driver.

    it never said it was 142 different pieces, just 142 in total. if you strip a bit in the middle of a job, having a second will let you finish.

    • @HeathenHacks
      @HeathenHacks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, bri! Thanks for the comment! ♥ Yes, maybe it was intended to be like that. I even said it as well. It's just that it's quite disappointing somehow, because it wasn't quite what I was expecting to receive after buying a "142-in-1 Tech Tool Kit."

      @@HeathenHacks would make a long title if it said that not all the bits were different. Not like a quick look into the description were it lists everything that comes with it wouldve been a hassle...

    • @HeathenHacks
      @HeathenHacks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@foulelements that is true. [1:39] however, the product description on the product page did not list the included bits. just the total number of it.

    • @foulelements
      @foulelements 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HeathenHacks check the amazon posting again. theres multiple big high quality pictures that showcase the contents of the kit; including a close-up photo of all the bits and their respective names.

    • @HeathenHacks
      @HeathenHacks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did not buy this from amazon since I don't live in the US. However, upon checking the product page of the item, it seems like they just recently added a close-up of the things that are included (which is good). It happens a lot, too. When someone pointed out something on the reviews (on the product page), most of the time they would either change some details or add images. People often rant about those on their facebook page.
      Then again, I guess it was my fault for thinking that "142-in-1" means it has different (as in the bits are not in pairs) and not just the total number of things that are included in the kit. It's also my fault for not checking other sources.
      I don't mind it that much, tho. It's cheaper than iFixIt and I've used it quite a lot, too.

      I don't own either the Oria or the iFixit precision bit sets, but my research shows one major difference between the two brands: the steel that they're made of. The Oria bits are made in the Republic of China with CrV steel, while the iFixit bits are made in Taiwan using S2 tool steel. I have no affiliation with either tool brand, but S2 tool steel is superior to CrV, so the truth is that the bits from these two tool brands ARE NOT made in the same factory and, more importantly, the iFixit bits are made of a better grade of steel. You really should do some reading before making a blind statement like this!

    So whats a higher quality brand to look for?

    • @HeathenHacks
      @HeathenHacks  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's a good question, actually. Haven't really bought another set yet since I'm still using this one, and apart from a few bent flat heads (which can be hammered back to shape), and the pouch slowly deteriorating (the stitches started to come off), I think I changed my mind after a few years. It's really good, at least for working on small devices. Strebito, ORIA, and other ones similar are basically from the same OEM as well, so maybe there are no difference between them when it comes to quality.

    • @HeathenHacks
      @HeathenHacks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, and thanks for the comment! I can if I could, honestly. Atm, the cheapest iFixit kit I could find is 3x the price of this one and I already have this one to use. Would be a waste of money imo.
