This is my favorite performance I’ve seen of this show!! I adore everyone in the cast!! The aunts?? Absolutely hilarious!! James?? Amazing voice!! Ladalord??? I L O V E her!!!!!! The bugs?? Amazing dancing skills?? The worm especially??? Iconic!!!
My school did this musical from a rehearsal spanning two months. As Ladahlord understudy I only had one chance to perform versus the other three nights my overstudy did. The showtimes are officially over as I am still sad to see that I won't ever get to do this musical the cast/crew enjoyed ever again. Last night was the officially the last performance. Oh man, I just love these guys.
My school is doing this musical this week we had four weeks to build the set and we just had the first show last night. I am not an actor but I did set crew to build the set and am on run crew for scene changes.
plump and juicy was ICONIC and the "come here seagulls, this should be illegal" had me laughing- im doing the show and honestly dont like doing it bc half the people are rude- but i loved this!!

Holy crap, grasshopper! And Ladahlord! And centipede! And earthworm!! Aaaahhhhhhhh. They're really good :D my local youth theatre is putting this on in the fall and I'm glad there's a version online to watch. This is actually a really cute show! Great job everyone!!!

I just did this show and it was so much fun! I was grasshopper! Our closing night was a week ago, but some of the cast members are getting together again tomorrow!

I liked the parts of Earthworm & Spider together like in "Everywhere That You Are" they held hands & in "Plump & Juicy" they were dancing & when Spiker & Sponge tried to spray the bug, they hugged in fear.

i’m spiker in my production and this is the best online version i’ve ever seen but the spiker in this just kinda makes me think of a snotty teenager .. idk if she was supposed to do that but it was just kinda weird to me idk. overall everyone was AMAZINGG ESPECIALLY LADAHLORD OMG.

I am in a production of this play next week and this video really helped me prepare. Everyone was amazing and the girl who played Ladahlord is such a star wow. (I play ladybug btw)

I’ve been delving a lot more into different versions of this story (book, film, stage show) and I’m always fascinated by the characterization of the Centipede. It’s never quite the same. My favorite remains the movie version, but I do like how this version remembers that he is a PREDATORY species and makes him more of an outlier.

My schools trying to plan our first EVER musical, and they’re thinking about doing James and the Giant Peach next year for a spring musical!! I’m hoping and praying it’ll happen, and my dream role is centipede!! If it happens or if it doesn’t, I’ll report back, but other than that, OH MY SPONGE’S WHIPPED CREAM THIS WAS THE BEST PRODUCTION OF THE SHOW IVE EVER SEEN!! ❤

my show is this wekend and i am centipede so its cool to see how others have portraid him and its funny how thry all are similar except they are aall boys playing him and i kinda wish there ere a few girl ones so i could benefit from that but over all this was great

I am in tech and did this play a couple weeks ago. I wish we had set up props behind the curtain, it would have been so much easier to move! These actors did amazing, and so did the tech!

Awesome production! And I understand why they cut it, bur Have you even Begun to Wonder was such a fuckin bop and I'm sad they didn't do it
They probably didnt do it, firstly so the production wouldn't be too long.
But also, they portrayed Centipede as quite a pest-imistic (see what I did there? Cause he's a pest, and he's pessimistic! Haha!) character.
In Have You Ever Begun To Wonder, his character seems a lot more cheerful, and I personally don't think it would have fit in very well.
Also, in the song, it is mentioned that Grasshopper uses his thighs to make music. But in this musical, he uses a violin (and his beautiful vocals).
So yeah, the song is great, but I don't think it would fit with the style this cast was going for.
But, fyi, this song is definitely in my top 3 favourite J&TGP songs.

I almost cried. I play the spider for my school and i was watching this with my mom. I dont wanna dance with L! ( thats his inital, he plays earthworm) i love my role sm but i rlly dont wanna dance with him 😿 tho, my favorite line is definitely "Come and get it seagull! THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!! " or my line, "He'll give you double the pleasure twice the snack! " its weird, but i love this song sm its hilarious. 🤣
You probably won't have to; that was an addition by the choreographer.
Don’t worry! It all depends on what your choreographer does. In our performance, the bugs and James are dancing with the chorus
The only reason I’m watching this is because my school is preforming this and there is a 70% chance I’m the Ladybug
