stories of great inspiration. i truly regret not serving in the military, and for ever will live with that regret. have been trying to write a song about homeless vets , and have struggled . after watching this story i realized that it is virtually impossible to write about something you never experienced. I have made it my personal goal to study this very sensitive topic , in the ultimate hope to not only finish this song, but find a way to help the plight of our homeless veterans, or just to make a difference . the more people made aware of their struggles the better we will be able to help those in need.
Sir, I for one, respect what you did for me as an American. I am proud of you and your mates. If you are an American Veteran, you are a friend of mine! I salute you brother!

Absolutely no veteran should be homeless. These great men risked their lives and made tremendous personal sacrifices to fight for our freedom. Every veteran should be provided with housing and health insurance. We are the richest country to ever exist, it makes me sick how these men have been treated. I know many veterans do not like to hear people say thank you for your service, but I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.
God will always be there for you...Believe it or not because He loves you more than is apparent...The pain will always be there but feelings can be controlled...A brilliant commentator once stated "Pain is inevitable but misery is optional" so if you don't know the power of healing that Jesus offers to them who ask Him for help.it's only a matter of time until He'll bring you to Him...Don't try to look for Him because He'll know when your ready... We need to take care of them as they did for us and give them the honer and glory they deserve, if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have the peace and freedoms we have! God bless all the vets, i love you ❤
America's veterans are one of our most valuable assets. Vets should be the first to be offered a job, the first to receive social services the first to be allowed low cost housing but they are not. Shanaque with her 8 kids by 8 different fathers gets the first break. Support America's Veterans first and these welfare mothers with numerous children second!
Try thinking of a seventeen year old person you know being shipped off to a foreign country to fight a bloody battle, seeing their buddies killed, heads blown off, thinking they're next to die, and then coming back home to live a normal life again. We all need to show more love and compassion for these vets and lend a helping hand. My dad was heading right down this path after vietnam until he thankfully found peace in God.
This are problems afecting not only veterans but the entire community as well. Here in Portugal we also have a veteran's association too as during the Vietnam War years Portugal fought a 4 front war and for nearly a decade many youngman went to Africa and many have never returned .... I'm not a Veran of any war but I am someone who for many years have endured and fought off with addiction problems that so far have been arrested (I am 2,5 years sobber now)....
Lots of these bedrooms coming back from Vietnam and other wars they have given their life put their lives on the line I feel bad that the government don't give these men who have put that in their lives on the line give them whatever they need to live a comfortable life no matter how much it cost they put their lives on the line for the United States United States should give them everything they need and I pray that that the people in charge will do the same and healthy men no matter what their situation is getting what they need to live a comfortable life after War
I'm so ashamed of how our vets were treated after coming home from Vietnam. Now we have our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan coming home..........Of ALL the people our government should take care of it's our veterans.
Those Vietnam guys really had a hard time, I can't think of a more terrifying theater to have fought in, enemy living under your feet then all the bugs, poison plants, deadly snakes. It must have been like everything was out to kill them a full year of that would drive the strongest men insane.
Not to mention most wars men seen about 45 days of combat in a tour.In the nam they flew in and out of fighting fast .AA year there ment 200 plus days of combat. Think about that.
I'd love to stay there just for the pizza and donuts. (I'm assuming they have coffee, too). But really, I don't like to be in the same place very long. (No drugs or alcohol here, just like to see new places--I'm a nomad in a sedentary world).
The man that says everyone likes to tell their hard luck stories but he didn't. They tell us in therapy to let it out and eventually we will be able overcome the problem/issue. I am 73 years old and constantly having flashbacks. I so want to forget them but they won't go away. Sometimes I think I will explode. I do find that when I see videos of people who had far worse issues than I, I feel lucky. Now I am going through this opiate issue the VA is imposing on us. I have a degenerative disease. Which means it will only get worse. The best they can do is replace a joint. I am in so much pain now. They have decreased my pain medication and are telling me that they have another opiate that will help me get off of the opiate I am in now. I was doing fine on the opiate I had been taking for 22 years. Now I am finding it hard to get through a day. Why would they do this to a person who is really ill and not a street drug addict? They are the ones who introduced me to methadone 22 years a go. They told me it was safe and I would not get addicted to it. I feel like I have been used and now that I am old they want to be rid of me. I have never abused a drug and have always seen only a VA doctor.
"Thank you" doesn't put a roof over your head or food in your belly. The people need to pressure the government for change, the government won't do it if left alone. Don't blame the government, they are a reflection of the people they govern.
I am not trying to exploit these Vets. Click VOAG and listen to a show about this subject... not staged yet... but when it is...the writers are committed to proceeds going to Veterans. I wrote a small bit of this..John Sinclair is the man.... I’m just trying to get support. Comment. God Bless all Veterans who gave for our freedom.... Steve Webb ...
I don't know too much about this. But a friend of mine who is currently in the Navy, says that most of these if not all of these vets are discharged or something of that sort. He says that all good war veterans receive proper benefits.
Rogelio Monteagudo So ALL homeless vets and vets who dont get proper treatment, or timely treatment like the guy who blew his brains out in a VA parking lot because "they couldn't help him that day", or the 20 vets a day who kill themselves bccause they don't get the help they need from the govt they risked their lives for, you're saying ALL of these vets ran away from battle or were discharged for improper actions? Fuck off, idiot.
+brmillgr Sources? Claims? I'm pretty sure the government pays their vets well. Or accordingly. I've spoken to men in service. All have told me this. These men probably served their country well, but are either psychologically incapable to work or live in the real world, or made bad decisions due to their problems. Either way, the government is not to blame. All vets can take treatment for that
The fact this video has only 56,000 views since 2011 should be upsetting

I am the next generation of homeless veterans and am struggling to be a success story. There are more now than ever. Most won't ask for help. Suicide is claiming more and more every day. The key factor is to want the help. I refuse to give up and do the best I can to help my brothers and sisters. Thanks to those who have helped me. Never quit.
Hey brother. How you doing?
-11B, ICM, HONORABLE DISCHARGE

I'm done going to college in America I'm going to another country to continue

This is a really good and yet really moving documentary. I like it - and I think more people should really take time to watch this. Thank you so much for sharing this.
joe cheney I already had done the math, thank you....and my father suffers from the same thing and he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom - another bullshit war.
Is like entering another war after the real war, but this time this war never ends...
stories of great inspiration. i truly regret not serving in the military, and for ever will live with that regret. have been trying to write a song about homeless vets , and have struggled . after watching this story i realized that it is virtually impossible to write about something you never experienced. I have made it my personal goal to study this very sensitive topic , in the ultimate hope to not only finish this song, but find a way to help the plight of our homeless veterans, or just to make a difference . the more people made aware of their struggles the better we will be able to help those in need.
Got bless all veterans especially the homeless ones. Hope California has a good program for you veterans.
RESPECT to ALL Veterans
Sir, I for one, respect what you did for me as an American. I am proud of you and your mates. If you are an American Veteran, you are a friend of mine! I salute you brother!
beautiful film
I’m a combat veteran of the Iraq war. Still fighting for my disability benefits. I’ve become homeless a few times.
Thanks for your service 🇺🇸 hope things turn around we need a president that cares about vets again.
_We should never leave our fallen brothers behind_ #OneVoice
Thank you for helping those who have needed the most help. May God reward your kindness.
Home is a State of Being.
George Bolton happiness is not a destination but a way of life 🙌
Thank you so much for bringing this important cause to prominent status.
P.T.S.D. does not just go away and the Government has never been there.
The time is now, no more suffering!
A very good program.
Thanks guys for all you did
Pray for all our vets they are our heroes.
God bless our Vietnam Vets. Thank you all for your service.
Great documentary about these topics
God will always be there for you...Believe it or not because He loves you more than is apparent...The pain will always be there but feelings can be controlled...A brilliant commentator once stated "Pain is inevitable but misery is optional" so if you don't know the power of healing that Jesus offers to them who ask Him for help.it's only a matter of time until He'll bring you to Him...Don't try to look for Him because He'll know when your ready...
Bless you Always,
Robert W. Henry LMT
Thank you to the person who posted this um may i share this with my class for a project im working on about the miss treatment of veterans. Also i would like to we need to help are us vets
Great doc. If you want to contribute to a veteran's organization, I would suggest contacting them.
A very sad story. Although I never experience any kind of battle in my country but when I came to know that the people did not appreciate what they have sacrifices, it's very heartbreaking. My heart really melts. God bless all the surviving war veterans and those who have fallen.
I hear you brother I am one of them 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇲
Love it ! Thanks!
don't matter people will still join
My cousin Johnny was in Vietnam he was an electrician fixing the helicopters he came back and was not the same was a drug addict and alcoholic took many years of therapy he is in his mid 70's now sober and has a good woman he's been with for 20 years so fucked up how this Country/ Government has honored these men
it pisses me off to the core. when the men and women who fight for us everyday and give their lives are homeless. the least we can do is help our people......what has happened to America????????? god bless the troops past and presant
Hers the problem big billionaires could care less people like Donald trump looks at our vets like scum and I hope the billionaires who don't give two shits about these great warriors that risked their own lives for a pointless war and to this day we are in a bs war when in truth we should be stringing up gangs pedophiles and cartels that keep coming here but just like these poor vets no billionaire cares and it breaks my heart that rich fucks turn thier
Thomas Wylie I totally agree with u
amanda bee thanks I'm proud someone agrees
amanda bee Oh REALLY what have you done other than run your mouth. I'll bet not a DAMN thing. So please... enough with the hot air.
Wow can't wait to check out more of your channel- looks like a neat collection, thanks for uploading.
I love these guys! They are all my brothers! We are all united as Veterans. I wish them all the best. Great documentary! This is an excellant program to help our homeless veterans get back on their feet. God Bless all who help and God Bless the staff. Your efforts affected my heart, as I'm sure others. Remember, Jesus loves you and so do I.
Man, sometimes I just want to cry, but I must stand strong stand fast...
Why are the solders we ask to defend us and and keep our country safe left to heal themselves for the things we ask of them? We need to take care of them as they did for us and give them the honer and glory they deserve, if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have the peace and freedoms we have! God bless all the vets, i love you ❤
Thank you for your support 🇺🇸
Stay strong
AWESOME!!!!!
May God bless them.
Ive delivered to an army vet home. It's very run down. But, some of the most kickest ass people live on the premises.
I am a Vietnam veteran and I have lost many friends from suicide drugs and alcohol, the gov does little or nothing now to help them.
Good bless you heroes
You deserve peace and happiness .Dont let the fockers grind you down
Like an alcoholic I understand these people to the bottom line❤
A Few Years Old 2011, We have solved some problems since then.
that's not the way to treat our Heroes.
I support Votes for Vets. There are things we can do, even if they are just small, ways to help add up to help.
Disable Iraqi War Vet... served Enduring Freedom.
These brothers here... r my Heroes!
God bless them.🇺🇸⚓
HooYAH boys!
I wonder how they’re all doing now
Not much mention of PTSD. Nothing about the mountains of head-meds passed out by the VA often with toxic effects. I think that's a good thing.
Hard successes I Salute them!
A Firefighter cried on my shoulders on Camp Lejeune
Thank you RallyPoint.com
It wasn't for the American heroes we would not have freedom
Those Vietnam guys really had a hard time, I can't think of a more terrifying theater to have fought in, enemy living under your feet then all the bugs, poison plants, deadly snakes. It must have been like everything was out to kill them a full year of that would drive the strongest men insane.
Not to mention most wars men seen about 45 days of combat in a tour.In the nam they flew in and out of fighting fast .AA year there ment 200 plus days of combat. Think about that.
so glad i dont drink no more great doc
It’s a sickness in our country. We come together and support our Military. But then once the job is done you’re thrown away like garbage.
I'd love to stay there just for the pizza and donuts. (I'm assuming they have coffee, too).
But really, I don't like to be in the same place very long. (No drugs or alcohol here, just like to see new places--I'm a nomad in a sedentary world).
Its more then their psychological needs of getting out the tent and into housing. It dont stop their. 🇺🇲
Lord please help the homeless veterns of today because yesterday you didn't do it. 🙏🤲 #possiblemovement
"Thank you" doesn't put a roof over your head or food in your belly. The people need to pressure the government for change, the government won't do it if left alone. Don't blame the government, they are a reflection of the people they govern.
My dad was in the military
I am not trying to exploit these Vets. Click VOAG and listen to a show about this subject... not staged yet... but when it is...the writers are committed to proceeds going to Veterans. I wrote a small bit of this..John Sinclair is the man.... I’m just trying to get support. Comment. God Bless all Veterans who gave for our freedom.... Steve Webb
...
We Must Help Them & Pray For Them God Bless Them Abundantly With Jobs Food Boarding & Lodging & Never Forget The War Dog's of Vietnam
I don't know too much about this. But a friend of mine who is currently in the Navy, says that most of these if not all of these vets are discharged or something of that sort. He says that all good war veterans receive proper benefits.
If you serve in a war you are a "good veteran" and deserve benefits, give me a break.
+brmillgr Not if you do something like running away from battle or other improper actions.

Drugs are bad kids! This could be the way you live your life, if you choose to walk this path!
Oh most sounds like Elliott Ness.
My roommate is a Desert Storm Veteran. It amazes me how messy he is.
After Iraq for me i kept my military ways.
