Thanks a lot for the guide, I'm still a new player but the gods I found I enjoyed were mostly assassin/junglers like Pele and Ratatoskr so I had to go to jungle to try them but it's probably the most complicated lane to go as a beginner other than duo(?) I guess, so I was worried. But this guide did help a lot, thank you very much. :)

My internet has a passive ability.
Increase ping(only jungle)(replaces boots): during any battle the player has 50% chance of teleporting while moving, there is a 25% chance that will teleport 3 time in a straight line. This will increase the movement speed of the player while to escape or to engage to a battle, there is a 15% chance that the player will miss all his ability attack and basic attacks for 5 to 8 seconds.10% chance of losing connection.
It really do be like that.
I have a touch of advice for new junglers when it comes to ganking. Starting out, live by the 50/50 rule until you know your personal limits. If the enemy is on your half of the map then gank them. If they are on their half, leave them be. One thing I constantly see go wrong with new junglers is that they chase for too long. You don't have to secure every kill. If you force someone out of lane go take a brief look at the nearest jungle camp and steal if you can, but only the 1 camp then go back to your side.
Eventually you will gain the map awareness and ability to successfully do things like clearing out the whole jungle, tower diving appropriately, and chasing kills.
And to add - farm! When I started jungling I was constantly behind in gold and experience vs my enemy junglers despite being 3+ kills up on them. I spent so much time ganking that I forgot to farm and effectively became useless.

I usually play carry and I see this ALL THE TIME lol I’m like no let them recall let’s steal all their camps while they’re gone but nope they rather try to intercept between the towers and end up getting killed by minions anyways /.-

You can't stop a kamikaze Thanatos from "W"ing to certain death because HE overcommitted. I see a lot of Junglers in this game that totally lack accountability
Tips for new player watching from mid-season patch, or rn:
Tip 1: Ares is now the best guardian jungle as his 3 does extra damage to minions now, making it one of the fastest clears in the game, also ymir and kuzenbo are good guardian junglers as well
Tip 2: Instead of going to back camps second go to your solo lanes blue buff and clear that (with them there preferably) and then clear back camps, this wastes less time for both you and your solo laner
Tip 3: You don't have to gank if you don't want to, if you want to farm in the early game instead of ganking then go ahead, don't listen to your teammates pings. Obviously you HAVE to gank at some point, but make those calls when it is safest and you know you can secure a kill for you or your teammate
Tip 4: WARD EFFICIENTLY - As a jungler you SHOULD be invading the enemies camps, keep a mental note in your head of where the enemy is and what his camp timers are, remember, every 2 minutes a camp pops back up. You'll want to ward near the enemy blue buff and their speed buff, allowing you to not only see the timers, but also know if they're going for the camps. Do this after you back to fountain for boots, go get your yellow, your back camps then blue, then invade the enemies blue, ditching speed to blue for speed for back camps
Tip 5: Watch other people play, although inters3ct made a very good beginner guide, as you learn more you'll want to watch more advanced guides and tips and there are other youtubers out there with great videos; my main recommendation would be Weak3n as you can see how he builds, how he plays and he is an SPL player, sop you'll be learning from the best of them

hey dude. does the xp and gold are shared between allies defeating the same xp/buff monster? or both get the full value? or only the one getting the last hit gets all gold/xp?
Sadan Correa XP splits at a certain rate, can’t remember what it is but it goes down significantly for every person in the area. This is why you usually don’t want people helping with camps unless you rlly need, as the split makes the camps worth about as much as 3 or 4 minion kills. Same goes for minions though, that’s why your duo laners are almost always under level compared to solos (unless they’re just eating kills this will always be the case)
My best advice?
Don't gank when they spam it 24/7
If people play trash they gonna do that then try and blame you for loosing lane so annoying

Update for all those who didn't pick up the mistake he makes. Evolved Assassin's Blessing only gives 5 Penetration along side 5% Movement Speed.

Something I've never seen mentioned in videos but I've found very effective is Agni in jungle. Not great clear but after building flame wave, so much damage. You don't even have to let the enemy see you, just stand inside the jungle and drop meteors on low health gods. 1, 2 combo is also a great gank and he has great mobility.
Exactly what I learned from playing ranked(I'm D4) and from the video is that junglers set the pace of the early game

I played slot of jungle on paragon cause that's what I started on when it came to moba but would u say filling positions if mid or solo were to die or have to recall would be also a alternative role I did it alot and still do when I have to

If you are new to the role I wouldn't worry at all. When it comes to jungling it is ridiculously easy to play in smite then in other mobas.
Ever played Sun Wukong in jungle? He’s good with a stun, knock up, or good dash. He also has a slow and a really good ranged damaging ability. His ult can help him get out of ganks if he finds himself in one gaining health and doing quite a bit of damage.

Its no secret jungle isnt in the best of spot's as far as XP goes, generally even jungler's who are doing well and helping the team and farming efficiently just manage to stay even with the team, and unless they invade camps, certainly dont get ahead in the XP game. With that being said I have a friend I have no idea how to help. (and no, its not me. Im a solo/adc main).
What ends up happening is the mid laner will take red without him in the early game, or somebody will take a back camp early on,, and ive seen it literally ruin his early game, and put him 2 levels behind, even when he grabs every camp he can. They literally see him coming at say level 3 or 4, and instead of waiting 10 seconds, they just do the camp. God forbid he should have a bad engage early on and die, he basically dissapear's from the match if the mid or support take camps from him.
And the thing is, i didnt believe him for the longest time, just figured he was fucking up, but Ive seen it happen, a shitton of time. Like clockwork, he secures midcamp, perhaps the midlaner doesn't help and hes forced to back because the enemy jungler fought him over it, and the midlaner goes and does red as hes halfway walking out of base to come do it.
Or get this, ive watched midlaner's go to red without him, before hes even done with blue! It happens a shitton, even in ranked, and were not in silver mmr, we sit around 1700-1800 when we duo queue.
Honestly I dont want him to play jungle simply because every time a teammate does something in the jungle early without him, or he gets put behind early and teammates just do xp and buff camps without him, while hes walking to go do them, and because of it he instantly becomes useless untill 20, and its a genuenly tilting experience for everyone. Do you have any advice i can give to him? Does anyone? I simply dont know anything about the nuance of jungle and what to do in these situation, and clearly neither does he. Only thing i can say is in season 2-4 He had no issues with xp or people grabbing a camp without him, but jungle was a different beast then.
Hey man, I know this can be annoying for your friend but now is a viable start for midlanders sometimes. If this happens and he gets behind he can split wave or try getting early kills, if he end up getting a couple levels behind he just needs to try farming and can split waves with the midlane every now and then. This is just some ideas, I'm know where near pro at jungle but have a lot of experience and that's generally what I try to do or see people do.
If the mid laner takes red on his own (and this should only happen right after the first wave) you need to put pressure on the enemy midlaner if they havent done their red yet instead of contesting the mid camps with the enemy jungler after blue. Because if u kill or push the enemy mid laner out u threaten invading their red. If the midlaner doesnt get pushed out just do the gold fury side midcamps after the wave and then oracles while they do red.
So I main camazotz and was wondering how viable it would be to invest in lifesteal in his gear pieces since it would augment and improve his basic lifesteal attacks in the game? Also great vid
For decent hunter jungler: Cern or Cherabog are pretty good for camp clear and having ganking cc. Ullr is also viable but harder given you lose your range in a gank if you plan to go in with cc.

Anyone watching this from this date. Camps from the enemy side now give less exp and gold, making invades less rewarding
This is just not true, the reason invades are worth it is because u take xp away from the enemy, this "nerf" to invading is not gonna do anything

@@noahvanooijen6640 It's not just about the XP and gold from the camps, the main camps you invade are buffs, and you primarily invade buff camps to deprive the enemy team of their buffs, not for gold and XP, those are just a cherry on top.
At what point did I say invades wasnt worth it? Less rewarding does not mean not worth it. Less rewarding means less rewarding. And it is less rewarding because there is a decreased exp/gold gain than it used to be. Same as if they increased exp/gold from invades that would be "more rewarding" Do you get it yet? Or do I have to go even more caveman?

I like to play jungler but it is really a role who got flamed the most time. In teams where all lanes are failing cause of stupid rambo play, no warding and bad positioning for a gank you as a jungler are always the bad guy.

Honestly I like talaria boots on a lot of junglers lately. Just being able to out rotate the enemy jungler IMO is worth losing a little power. Also, just because they're nerfing invades before 15 minutes, doesn't mean you shouldn't do it anymore lmao

I do thank you for making this video. Sadly, I don't think I would be able to jungle. Especially when people get extremely triggered if you don't gank properly. Plus the pressure of ganking isn't something I want.
But I do have a question about Thanatos. I wanna play as him, but I don't want to jungle. Can I go solo and play as him in that lane?
There is no top lane, but I'm assuming you're referring to the top lane meta in other MOBAs, which would be the solo lane in this game. The short answer is yes, but it's not recommended because the job of a solo laner is generally to frontline effectively, which Thanatos generally doesn't excel in whatsoever. His base hp and protections are very low, and he doesn't have any proper engage tools to make him a decent boxer in lane or an effective peeler in a team fight. You'd be better off playing a warrior or guardian. Fenrir is a good option for an assassin solo if you want to run that.
@@BasedChadman Yeah, I meant to put solo and I said top. I used to play a lot of Dota 2 and LoL before coming to Smite. So I still gotta get used to saying solo. And I'll try out Fenrir on solo then. I don't wanna ruin the game trying out Thanatos if he can't really solo. What items would you suggest I use for Fenrir on solo?
@@joeman99983 It's very dependent on your matchup, but you can get away with building full tank. I'd go watch FineOkay's channel to get a general idea of how to build and play solo laners.
Usually you'll stack defenses and mitigations with some cdr and potentially ccr as well.
Fenrir works well with items such as breastplate of valor and genji's guard

Was a big Ravana fan before he got re classed. Is he an auto or ability assassin?
He’s a ability based assassin that uses aa cancels a lot. Items like Hydra’s Lament and Crusher are good on him along with other power items. But don’t get attack speed on him as Crusher gives him all the attack speed he needs. Hope this helped.

Oliver Arent Some more ability based assassins are Serqet, Susano, Pele, Bastet, Ratatoskr, and Ravana
Some more auto based ones are Arachne, and Mercury.
Most assassins especially ones I didn’t list fall in the middle if not a bit more ability focused

@@harveyfletcher1308 No set date, but I think Mid will be next then Support then Carry, I usually release one every couple weeks or so so probably some time late april for the Support one.
a guide for mid would be nice, i find myself being slightly behind very early game. For example, i help clear yellow ( I don't stay there, I use my ability on camp and then head straight to mid, enough time to get the full wave) and very often the enemy gets to 2 lvl before i do. What am i doing wrong?

I'm mid main and I can tell you that it's often because the jungler didn't clear the buff creep in time for you to get the 24 exp it gives when you share it. So after yellow you need the whole first wave plus 1 from the next to reach lvl 2. Which then sets their mid up for a good early poke plus when the enemy jungler has started with blink while he goes to mid camps your opposing mid laner resets cooldowns, waits for his jungler and most likely get the early gank mid. So very crucial to get the yellow exp share!

Bloodforge is good if you NEED some sustain but most assassins (focus of this video) either have thier sustain built into thier kit or are quick/tanky enough to not need it. Perfect example of built it Arachne/thanatos Quick-mercury/Ratatoskr tanky-Nemesis/Thor. Now some yes it is nice for like probably kali cause her in but sustain is pretty meh but overall it is not really needed and other items are better

I'm trying to break into jungle after mostly solo and mid play, I'm trying to be a jack of all trades for some reason so any god recommendation?
Any assassin works, poseidon and he bo work well if you want to play a mage, yimir and Athena work well for guardians, Achilles is a really good pick and usually one that I use. Those are really the only ones I use, but mabey someone else can give more suggestions.
Hey im fairly new to smite. I build crit on all of my assassins and Hunters. Is that a good idea?
not all assassin's, i personally only build crit on mercury and i build it on kali which is kinda controversial and maybe hun batz (i dont play him sooo...). Most hunters are pretty good with crit but it is personal preference, the only hunters i dont think are great with crit are Ullr,Neith, and chiron. but im not a swc player soo
Hunters crit is usually an pretty decent idea (heck jing wei is basically made with a crit based kit) but on assassins in general it better to go for power/pen with some attack speed. Maybe on some with like abilities that count as basic attacks like serquet or mercury but in general skip crit on assassins
Honestly I want to try this role but I'm a little nervous on who to pick should I choose serquet or camazots for my assassin for this role
random music person 1245 serqet is better but harder to play, she can be built a bit more tanky than most assassins and still do damage because she does true damage. Her cc is also better than camazots. Camazots can sustain better in the jungle because of his passive which might allow for some extra early game farm. But in my opinion being able to win team fights is better than maybe getting a few extra levels.

Meh I myself like arachne as a new jungler God cause she has a really nice sustain,chase,and cc built into her kit with a escape/chase ult. Plus she can have 1-2 defense items to be slightly tanker while still dealing a crapton of damage

Andreas Kyriakides you have to be able to rely and group with your team for some of those deep jungle steals
If the jungler is consistently snagging your speed or deep in your jungle you usually need a mid or solo rotate to help out especially on high camp clearing gods, just shallow ward and punish

I am wondering how big of a priority is the oraceles?? In my opinion they are the objective in jungle like the lanes have towers. But should you give up farm for them?? When should you get them?? Pls someone whith more experience tell me
Basically usually least for me after I get the red or xp camp and after I have banked if need be either duo or mid I will hop by and see if it is there. If they are I will grab them cause they give a nice chunk of xp but I dont go out of my way to fight over them cause least imo it doesnt give enough to possibly die over them

@@vain4891 most junglers who know what they are doing know to look for a red ring around gold fury and if they see it they skirt around it. Hence y I dont see the purpose. I guess it depends on the enemy skill lvl but least I always look for a red glow/ring around gold fury
@@Direultimatum oh I didn't actually know that it glowed around the gold fury when the oracle's gave the ward effect. I am normally just looking if the oracle's are there or not
@@vain4891 yah, next time look at the edge of gold fury before you get and after you get oracles, even then it has a blue edge. I dont know what is the reason to have it to where you can see it because it would be better of you couldnt see it (then yah I would def say it is worth getting) but since you can see it most people who know to look for it will either avoid it or wait till it is run out
so is building trans or devourer’s early a bad idea? I do that all the time but if I should stop I will.
Devos on Junglers is a no no, you only really build that on Hunters. As for Trans, it *can* be good if you get a bit lead early to build it in 3rd or 4th slot. Usually it's too slow to rush straight after boots though I'd say.
What about the Morrigan isn't she a good jungler?

Morrigan is good if you know how every god works making her arguably one lf the hardest ones to master and not only that but learn how the build works. Its also reliant on god picks and also what they build as you will be using theirs. Morrigan has her own abilites but her strength ans being able to clone a god and making you enemies deal with two powerhouses if hes on your team.
Shes also great if an enemy is getting fed. Turning into that enemy with her ult and ganking the others to catch up

I prefer spirit robe instead of mantle. That %15 dmg mit has saved my ass more times than I can count.
So, with season 6 bringing 6 item builds back into the meta late game, I've been iffy on what items to replace boots with. Any suggestions?
I barely know what to replace my blessings with, let alone fucking boots.
Obviously get speed pot when you have sufficient gold, then you are able to sell boots for an item you think would benefit you. It varies game to game. If you are looking for more survivability, go for a hybrid defence item (mantle/spirit robe/magi's cloak for CC immune). There are many different options you can go with depending on game situations.
What I've been doing is either replacing boots with Masamune, Titans Bane, or Bloodforge, depending on which jungler I'm running and what comp I'm running into. If I need more Penetration, it's titans bane. If I'm running an AA jungler, then Masamune. Otherwise, it's Bloodforge to be a general pain.
@@flare7111 Wouldn't it be better to just get 3k pots? A sixth item costs nearly as much.
Dark Sev. A 3k power pot in the end just gives the boosted power, whereas with selling boots, you are able to flex into an item that would really benefit you or your team in the very late game. It is all about adjustments. If you are jg and you are blinking into their back line to disrupt their dps gods, and you find yourself getting shredded, you can adjust to that and that 6th item might be the difference maker. It is all personal preference in the end.

I've watched a couple of these videos of yours... do you HATE hunters? It seems like u find them useless. If you doing, im honestly asking why. I have no clue because I basically stick to da ji, awilix, or hel
Ok so I am still relatively new to smite and have a couple of questions:
1. How can I tell if a god is ability or auto attack based?
2. How can I easily learn what items do and what to build based on what opponents I’m playing against?
Their kit.
1. First off, all hunters are AA-based. Then you've got gods whose abilities only help their autos/basics, like Bakasura and Kali. Then there are hybrid gods, like (I think) Ao Kuang and Achilles. There are auto-attack-cancel based gods like Thor, Thanatos, and Susano. Freya and Chronos are auto-based.
2. If you're losing hard, build safe: Defence. If you're winning, build more power. Maybe build hybrid. Some items work well on certain gods (Gem of Isolation is excellent on Kukulkan and Poseidon but very bad on, say, Kumbhakarna or Baron Samedi), and some items only work well with other items (Typhon's Fang is good with other lifesteal items for example), and some don't work good with other items (Qin's Sais and Titan's Bane are ok, but it'd be better if you'd only get one of them and get a better item instead of the other). Read the items' passives. Always get some pen, but if the enemies have basically no defence items then you don't need too much penetration and would be better off using other items (like more power or cdr) instead.
Some gods work well with certain stats; for example, Anubis with lifesteal or Sun Wukong with CDR, as well as basically all hunters with attack speed and power. See what items boost their passives. For example, Runeforged Hammer is really good with Artemis because that's basically her passive and on Cernunnos because he gets an essentially permanent slow on his ice stance. Athena and Ymir utilize Polynomicon amazingly well. Kukulkan's good with Book of The Dead and other mana-adding items. Thor, Susano, and Thanatos are good with Hydra's Lament because of their AA-cancel, while Hun Batz is good with it because it boosts his passive. Fenrir is good with Heartseeker because it stacks alongside his passive; it's awesome on him.

You also don't build defence on ADCs. Mid hunters or in 1v1 sure, but not ADC.
Its far from meta and very risky but i been doin full teleport after boots to go from 1 end to the other of the map
What about gods that lack reliable escapes like Ne Zha?
It's the same for Ne Zha no matter which role he's played in. You're an excellent initiator for your team, but you got to value and weigh up when you go in, and that's gonna be on a game by game basis. Sometimes you know you can win on your own if you go in at the right time. Other times you need to have your team follow up your engage, else the enemy is just gonna blow you up as you're standing there alone and outnumbered.
The relying on teammates part is the hard one. Keep an eye on how your teammates react to your engages throughout the game. Does the mid Poseidon put his full trust in your initiation and perfectly time his kraken for when you land with the enemy in your ult, or does he just toss a pool and run away? Keep notes of which teammates will follow through on your engages, so you know when you can initiate 'safely' and only way you're gonna lose is if you get outplayed and not due to your teammates not following through with your engages.
And of course, keep your eyes peeled if your team already has a good initiator, especially teamfight initiators, like geb, sylvanus, cu chu, cerberus, etc. You're also good on followup cc and teamfight disruption. Your other initiator pulls off a good teamfight engange and you know of a few counters one or two of their gods can do to save the situation, look to get them disrupted for as long as possible with ult/sash. And if there's nothing to save their team, just aim for one of the carries during the confusion. If you can remove one of their gods with your ult or you know someone will follow up on your ult(ie. poseidon or anyone with a big nuke) to make the teamfight a 4v5 from the start. You've just won the entire fight right there.
But regardless if you got another initiator or not, the first point still stands. Ne zha is one of the best teamfight setup initiator as you hold the power to instantly set up the fight with the enemy losing one of theirs before they can do anything.

So why do some people go straight from speed to blue?
Dakota Weber Because backs spawn before buffs so if they do that way when they re do the path there is less chance of their backs being stolen. Also some gods with high cd in their abilities benefites from this pathing.

It's mainly just more efficient with cooldowns and time. It depends on your level 1 cooldowns though. If you can't use your ability a second time at white, it's better to just go for blue after yellow.

also it easier helps the solo lane to abandon lane to get some xp from blue and help them get their lead to win the lane phase-rotate mid - and be quicker to their own objectives like trying to steal enemy backs totem in early game to push their lead. If you have time and don’t already watch Weak3n and essentially learn from his gameplays he’s in SPL and has helped me go from jungle noob to competent player in weeks
As a solo. It is almost vital to get blue after first wave. It can help with time to get back and it also helps solo reach level 2. Also, with the new tiki, solo now has to juggle that as well as his oponent.
@@theblazintruth8651 this is not true, its really fucking annoyong for the solo laner, cus its almost impossible for solo to get blue xp and all of the minions when u go from speed to blue

What are some good Ao Kuang builds?
Rings and power. Got that you shred lol
Shoes of the magi, bancrofts, demonic grip, telkhines ring, magi's cloak, obsidian shard then sellingshoes for elixer of speed and rod of tahuti/doom orb is a good build. Got 33 kills on him once with that. Also most of the time you want beads over blink first and prioritise farming until lvl 5 where u can execute someone.
@@michaelpayne8419 This actually seems like solid advice. What about obtaining order? I tend to get 3 > 2 > 1 > ult, level the 2 and ult as much as possible then the 3 then the 1. Does that work, or do I need his 1 before his 2?
@@darksev.6468 I usually go 3 first then 2 for more clear or 1 if i think i need an escape early on against high pressure early mid and jungler (e.g. thana anubis) then the other then 3/ult then keep maxing the 3>2>1>ult. Also remember to use your passive so every 20sec you get a reduced cooldown on your 1 2 or 3 so when fighting use your 3 first then 2 then 3 1. i find easy kills in solo at lvl 5/6 if they push up you just need to get their health to 30% which isnt too hard when you blow your entire kit with your solo laners help and most solo laners get tp first so dont need to worry about beads and this can get you a small lead and duo can be easy kills too just keep an eye on what relics the enemy has and timers like 2 min 40 for beads, 3 min for aegis etc.). no it's not. Maybe for the jungler it is, but it will set solo behind cuz he will never make it to the blue xp

That is a start that can work, but as a Solo main mostly I hate that start, it's a little better for Junglers but fucks over the Solo laner by not giving them level 2 after the first wave.
@GetNoSkopedd Nah if you miss a single minion in lane you don't get 2. You can miss small creeps of Blue buff and only get the big one + a full wave which works, but that jungle start Blue drops way too early to reach it without missing at least 1 minion which fucks you.

TheLittleKnight one guy build it on Thanatos with crit and I usually see people build it later on when they don’t know what else to get for damage

Does anybody just outright power farm like I choose to do?
Sometimes but I find it usually better to try for least a few kills in between farming cause kills get you slightly more xp than farming
I do go for the kills, only when it makes sense lol
