      Correct. This is the United States directly attacking Russia using Ukraine as a base from which to do it. This would be an exact parallel to the Russians or Chinese launching middles at US targets from Mexico or Canada. The US leadership has a death wish.

    It is a highly complex weapon system from the USA. The weapon system is maintained by US personnel. The intelligence comes from the US military and intelligence services. The programming of the weapon system is carried out by US personnel. It is therefore hardly surprising that Russia classifies an attack with this weapon system on the Russian heartland as an attack by the USA on Russia. The USA would classify the opposite case in the same way.

    • @hicm1of124
      @hicm1of124 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Indeed!...Similar criteria also applies with respect to the launching of Storm Shadow/Scalp cruise missiles! They each have to be programmed & configured for targeting by suitably trained & authorised British & French military personnel, but cannot stilly actually be launched without the final authorisation codes & satellite intelligence data information supplied >> green lighted by The President via the said American Intelligence Services & Pentagon! This is precisely why neither Britain nor France have been able to launch their own strikes deeper into Russia, until Biden agreed to let this happen!!

      @@mr.g5593 The following statement made by Vladimir Putin has not been refuted by the West:
      The fact is that ... any expert, both in our country and in the West, will confirm this - the Ukrainian army is not capable of using cutting-edge high-precision long-range systems supplied by the West. They cannot do that. These weapons are impossible to employ without intelligence data from satellites which Ukraine does not have. This can only be done using the European Union’s satellites, or US satellites - in general, NATO satellites.
      This will mean that NATO countries - the United States and European countries - are at war with Russia. And if this is the case, then, bearing in mind the change in the essence of the conflict, we will make appropriate decisions in response to the threats that will be posed to us.

    The armed forces of Ukraine struck with six ATACMS ballistic missiles at the Bryansk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
    "At 3:25 a.m. tonight [local time, 00:25 GMT], the enemy struck a facility in the Bryansk Region with six ballistic missiles. According to confirmed data, US-made ATACMS tactical missiles have been used," the report read.

      The annexation of Crimea was in response to the 2014 coup in Ukraine and the ever growing threat of NATO's influence in Ukraine and the expansion of its members to Russia's borders after many promises not too.
      The sacrifice of Ukraine is a last ditch effort to force Western hegemony and dominance onto Russia.
      Hence the push for a new world order and expansion of BRICS.

    At 26:27: You've got all these wonderful graduates of Harvard and Columbia and other fine universities in the States who know nothing about anything, but it doesn't stop them from doing these exercises in strategy that then, some of them, become US government policy. The evidence that having a high IQ and a very good diploma on the wall does not save you from utter stupidity (when you have no feel for your "engagement"). ... It was a show of poor judgement by the chief commanders of the Russian armed forces that they did not listen to warnings coming from subordinates that such an incursion (as in Kursk) could take place, the logic being that it was so insane that it was improbable if not impssible. They underestimated the capacity of the Ukrainian leadership guided by the incompetence in Washington to commit utter self-destruction. ~ Gilbert Doctorow

    • @garyfranklin7747
      @garyfranklin7747 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Doctorow earned his doctorate at Columbia. Of course, Columbia back then had a much stronger faculty in history and political science than it does. For example, back then, Columbia had luminaries like Stephen F. Cohen teaching Russian/Soviet Union studies. Now Columbia has failed buffoons such as Hillary Clinton and Victoria Nuland.

    Another excellent analysis. Two points stood out for me, (i) in the opinion of Gilbert Doctorow that the Russians will not enter into negotiations on Ukraine whilst Kursk (and by extension any pre-war Russian territory) is occupied by enemy forces, (ii) Starmer and Macron will not give permission for Ukraine to use Storm Shadow/Scalp missiles deep inside Russia because such actions would go against Trump's wishes and could make the threatened trade war between the U.S. and Europe nastier. At the time of writing it is unclear if Starmer and / or Macron have given permission.

    Where we SHOULD focus on is the advantage Russia has in NON NUCLEAR weapons with an equivalent destructive power (Avangard, etc). This changes relationship among powers. Clearly. But Russia will use the advantage when a decisive argument is needed. We are nowhere near that.

    Its fascinating to hear russias excuses and then repeated by their propagandists. First, everything is a red line and nukes will be flying. Then, the line is crossed and then there is of course no reasons for nukes any more. Its an effective strategy that has served russia well.

      @Theworldaccordingtomickey This is exactly how the propagandists spin it all the time. Putin says that tanks to Ukraine will trigger a very big response and by the way, our nuclear forces are now on high alert. He also said that "all russian weapons can be used" if this and this happens. He is also letting all his mouthpieces in the information sphere say that russia will use nukes but he is more ambiguent himself. This time, no nukes will be set off and people like you will say russia never threatened using them.

    This is a fairly stupid discussion. Russia is winning the war by a mile and a half, so why talk about Russia having to use nukes against Ukraine? That's not going to happen. Russia has many, many excellent conventional weapons. This Dima guy is very uninformed. The other day he talked about the millions of immigrants coming to America for jobs - no, most Americans are well aware that the recent invaders are not here for 'jobs'. Many of them are flown or bused here then stuffed in hotels with meals and funding - they were never intended to be workers but to serve various other political roles. Note to Dima - ask better and informed questions!

    Is it true, that, as I was told, the German Taurus rockets can navigate themselves into their aim by exploiting maps that have been prepared for them? So, they don‘t need GPS signals to strike a target.

    • @conormacnessa7723
      @conormacnessa7723 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Essentially no. It has gps location, ground radar height and mapping, carmentia (proprietary prepared) mapping. These are all tied into a single nav unit used to navigate to target zone area and then to the actual target point. The inertial nav system is the primary nav utilising mapping, radar and GPS to maintain nav track and target point location

    • @rolandkaschek9722
      @rolandkaschek9722 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ As you say, “essentially no“, I conclude, that you actually don‘t know. Certainly the Taurus have the ability of GPS based navigation. However, that does not rule out for them to have the ability to navigate with maps. By the way, when cruise missiles became first well known in Germany, in the 1980ies, they all were using map based navigation. It is therefore not far fetched to think, that the Germans still can use that otherwise obsolete technology, which, however, might have become somewhat more popular now, since there ability to avoid communication with satellites or aircraft makes them more difficult to detect and eliminate.
