pressed this drama for the aesthetics but stayed for the plot and characters, its so rare to see the characters actually progress alongside the plot in these types of drama. this drama was able to fully execute everything within almost 3 hrs of the runtime while staying logically and reasonable. the love story was nicely handled. fl and ml had their own flaws and development and the groveling part was actually refreshing and worth it. fl is such a good character who can defend herself when needed and know when to leave when she is disrespected. ml is kinda frustrating and a piece of trash at the beginning but he changes (the development is so good!!!) (i wanna appreciate the side characters since they were a nice touch to the drama, they displayed loyalty and actually stayed true to their own morals without being swayed. the nephew deserves to find happiness for all of the sufferings he endured that were caused by his own family) overall, i reccommend watching this drama since its nicely produced and the characters are interesting enough to keep the plot running without it going astray or pulling out some unbelievable fictional problem
This was coming along really damn good. On so many levels. The chemistry between the leads is sizzling and the SML, while dumb and clueless at times, is truly sweet and very handsome. The SFL can act really well, gotta give her that. Actually, the acting so far in this drama has been pretty high-level across the board. BUT when the story digressed to a bunch of secrets and lies and all the disharmony between the leads, I became less invested in the story. The more they worked against one another, the more frustrating it became to watch. What I had been enjoying was the partnership and unity between them. The steamy passion and chemistry. Instead all we started seeing was them at odds with one another, that lasted for a lot longer than it should have. He used her and broke her heart, I get it, but he treated her well both before and during the entire time he had been using her, and even after. He never actually mistreated her. What he did was broke her trust. However, he feeling betrayed and not wanting to forgive his has been all the entire middle portion of the story has been about and it's tiresome and just makes me lose interest more and more. What started off so strong has now become a struggle to finish. This is the second drama I've watched recently where this actress was the FL and in both roles they made her character drag out the resistance to reconciliation and extreme stubbornness towards the ML to the point where it started become excessive and CRUEL, not to mention tiresome. THEN there's this long period where THERE WERE NO SUBS! Just adding to my frustration. EDIT: When she tells the ML, after he finds her father alive, that she cannot be with him due to everything that has happened between their families (bear in mind that they have a child together, so no matter what the families are forever linked through them) then she turns around and happy welcomes the ML's nephew to be a part of her little family, that's when I reached my limit. This is cruel. This is not how you treat a man who clearly wants to be a fantastic father to his child. Only allowing him to take care of her and the baby but giving him no say whatsoever in actually raising the child and constantly making it clear that she'd rather him be completely be out of both of their lives IS CRUEL and pretty disgusting. I'm just so completely over how this is written. I don't want to continue watching this crap. Definitely not for another 45 mins! The first hour was fantastic. This is amazing im a big fan of Lan Lan she elegant and beautiful the ML gorgeous and manly that man can kiss 😊 i saw this drama a while back this has got proper eng subs 😊 i love the development in this the first half isnt great cause of the annoying and very childish SFL should of got rid of her quicker he should of had boundaries with her she wouldn't be so deluded when she tried to hurt herself he should of sent her to get help from a psychiatrist otherwise the second half i love. The fact that she gets away by using her brain and when he finds her he has to work to build trust and show her that he loves her to get her back the FL very mature and can look after herself there chemistry on fire in this and its a really good story worth watching 😊....

Finally! Someone I can agree with. He made huge mistakes but he never actually mistreated or intentionally harmed her and he worked hard to make it up to her and prove himself. The man even found and rescued her damn father whom she hadn't even known was still alive. The things she has done in the name of protecting herself are extremely cruel. As a parent, watching him do all he's doing for his family and seeing how she's treating him all because he hurt her and lost her trust...I just cannot fathom. Keeping a child from a father who desperately wants to be a part of that child's life, who is GOOD to them BOTH, who cherishes and protects her. He's a moron for not telling her why he'd kept her locked away for so long, yes, but other than that and him initially wanting to use her for his own purposes in the beginning, he'd actually done nothing wrong! Yet, for the last hour she's made him grovel to be with his family whom he CLEARLY loves very deeply, all because she's hurt and cannot forgive him? She's selfish. I didn't even bother finishing this. I cannot continue to watch how terribly she treats this man. When men treat women terribly in dramas everyone is always in an uproar in the comments, but that shit goes both ways. When the women take things too far too, the comments should be in an uproar as well, not praising this kind of cruel behavior when a man has long since redeemed himself.
