Great topic, I'm a Canadian and feel the same way. I'm using silver as a massive motivator to quit smoking. Here it's about $15CDN for 20 cigs. I smoked 20/day, or approximately 1oz of silver every 2 days that I don't buy smokes. That has morphed into 50oz bought in first 2 months, as I enjoy it much more than what I expected. Stacking is much better for myself and family than dying young and broke.
You know, I use the same logic, I steer clear of buying things I don't need as well as smokes, although the problem I'm having is that most of my friends have lots of money and smoke and are always willing to bum me 1 whenever I want one, I try to resist but it's hard. Otherwise I used to stack silver, then converted my entire stack into gold and now stack only gold.
You are wise! I wish everyone does the same. I'm too; silver changed my way of thinking and investing. I rather preserve my wealth in silver and leave them after I go to heaven to my relatives, they would be very thankful and they would always remember me.
You are right. Silver is a great preservation tool rather than a get rich scheme, but it has the potential to make your rich too. I buy Silver for that reason, as a savings method which will not disappear and has a small chance of making me a significant amount of wealth.

The world still tempts me to waste my money and I occasionally slip but I just remind myself later that what I wasted could have been 1oz or 2oz of shiny precious silver. Gotta keep fighting the indoctrination!
Don’t beat yourself up too much regarding spending needlessly here an there. It’s ok to enjoy life a little! For me, it’s more about being conscious of how hard you had to work to spend that money. If I’m buying a new tv and I have to tell myself I worked 3-4 days for this, I’d be ok with that because it’s something I want. But if I was just browsing the shops and a jacket caught my eye that I wasn’t planning to buy, telling myself that it costs me a days labour would massively put me off.
I can't tell you how much I agree with pretty much everything you say. Definitely the first hobby I've had that doesn't just eat my money. And unfortunately I had to fall back on it when things took a turn for the worse, but it was my savior. I've always been terrible at saving cash, but this is easy and fun. Good video man, I just started stacking a little over a month now, and I thought i would just buy a couple of coins... i got almost an oz of gold and like 20 oz of silver 😂😂, but what I've learn in this short time is that I normally spend money on useless stuff, or stuff that i will bin at some point, so, every £ that I spend on gold/silver I feel like I'm not spending, but saving up. Somehow it hooked me up so so quick.
Thought-provoking video SN and I totally agree with a lot of what you said. I still preach to my friends and family about stacking even just an ounce a week but deaf ears. Although I am guilty of blowing money on crap from time to time lol. Heres hoping for some good weather so we can see that full stack ;)
An oz a week is 100 in two years. That’s not half bad and I think anyone with a minimum wage job could do this easily with a few adjustments. I’m not dead against blowing a bit of money on stuff you genuinely want or like, but it has to be value for money for me. Each to there own!

Also isn't it better to buy gold, because you can store so much wealth in a small coin compared to silver? I just want to know why you choose silver here in the UK & not Gold. thanks
I'll bit on this one. I can't speak on vat as I'm from California but I'll give a reason not to buy gold......current spot price and a gsr over 100:1 This tells you silver is greatly under valued so you should be either trading your gold right now for silver or buying silver. Also platinum is the other metal undervalued. Why buy something that is high? The entire idea is buy low and sell high and right now thats a buy on platinum and silver. Since I'm extremely heavy on silver, well over my own body weight, I stopped stacking silver and moved to platinum. Don't sleep on platinum guys!
Buy silver while the gold/silver ratio is about 98/1 when it changes to 40/1 then swap your silver for gold. Silver starts at such a low base that it will outperform gold as a ROI. Yes silver does attract VAT, but only if it is bought from a vat registered dealer. There are many countries in Europe where VAT is NOT attached to silver sales, and while we are still part of the EU until 31 December you can still take advantage of the VAT free sales in Europe.
