Wanted to get a few hobby packs but the LCS was dry. Contenders is a set that I hate to like. I really enjoyed last years case hits and want to see what they did this year. Can be a fun rip unless you get all no names. Love that they went less base and more numbered! Great video as always

These look more like Contenders Optic than Contenders. Normally even hobby cards are paper like the retail. Think its good to combine them into this & just skip Contenders Optic. They were always identical except Contenders was paper & Optic was shiny like these. Ive seen 2 FOTL boxes and your is only the 2nd hobby box Ive seen, but so far everyone has gotten all their hits. In fact 1 got an extra hit. NO- NO HOBBY is worth the $$$. Hasn't been since the horrendous covid invasion of 20' FYI. In fact very little retail is worth it at this point. Thats why you hear us TRUE collectors so unhappy. We aren't in the hobby for the $$$, we're in it for the love of the sport/hobby so they have priced most of us out of the hobby at this point. Pretty much the only ones buying up all the hobby and most retail at this point are the deep pocketed covid invaders, scumbag scalpers/secondary market sellers/WhatFnNot/Wannabe breakers, etc... They really improved this product this year. I agree with you guys…the base cards really pop. I’ve seen so many numbered cards out of these as well.
