I think that Garruk's position alongside the Twins and the fact that we know we're going back to Eldraine (specifically the wilds) line up nicely to suggest the Cauldron of Eternity may be able to undo Phyrexian compleation. I think a story about tracking it down would be a good addition to the winding down of the Phyrexian Saga.

this makes the most sense now too with Aftermath being confirmed and the set after it being set in Eldraine. There's even a card referencing Eldraine as an early promo for Aftermath, which lines up with what your suggesting. With Nissa currently compleated, they might be out of the picture for a while until Garruk is back and front in center.

I've had this wild theory that Jace will have an arch where he tries his best to use his illusions and collection of artificats (from his "bolas could come back" panic hoarding), but ultimately fails and sees someone he looks up to/loves get compleated. I think this will trigger him to reach for the power of his youth, and weild massive mindbending magic, driving himself and several of the compleated Planeswalkers insane. This (of course) let's them fight for the gatewatch, because what is more crazy to a phyrexian then not submitting to blessed perfection. This would also let crazy Jace be the next villian of the multiverse, and that would be cool

I anticipate one of the Kenrith twins to be compleated. The butterfly effect can go a multitude of fun ways
    1) The uncompleated twin could join Kasmina’s group.
    2) Garruk can seek vengeance as it was his goal to protect them
    3) The compleated twin becomes an instant antagonist for the other sibling
I also base this upon the colors of walkers who have already been compleated. We have green/white and blue/green. Red/black doesnt have a phyrexian walker.

    • @phoenixshadow4631
      @phoenixshadow4631 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Dragonshade64 if anything Compleation would add either black or more colorless/mixed color influence as even though the New Phyrexians are in multiple colors and some true multicolored pyrexians exist the original Phyrexians were exclusively black and colorless. In addition both Ajani and Tamiyo have green aligned appearances before their Compleation as Ajani has previously been red and white, green and white, or mono-white across his many appearances in MTG (having come from the Shard of Naya this makes sense), and Tamiyo has been blue, blue and green and blue white and green in her previous appearances since before her completion so adding green really doesn't make sense as a Phyrexian thing unless they are specifically being completed by a green Phyrexian which I doubt as Jin-Gitaxias was the one who discovered how to compleat walkers initially and leads the blue aligned Progress Engine.

I still believe in the theory that we are going to get a full "Compleat" set of two color compleated planeswalkers for a total of 10 compleations. As for who I think will be on that list for each color combination:
WU - Teferi - I can see him being akin to an ultimate prize for the phyrexians because of his time magic. I can even see him being a sleeper agent right now in the brother's war story. I mean think about it, he is finally now going back in time again, something that he swore that he would never do again because of all of the damage it caused before. But if he's been compleated and is a sleeper agent then it could be possible that he is getting some subliminal messages or some other subconscious meddling that is making him more ok with messing with time again. Of course, I haven't read the Brother's War story yet, so with it out right now idk if there is anything in there that disproves this theory in that story. Because if he was a time travelling phyrexian sleeper agent, he could do a lot of damage to the timeline just by ensuring that the phyrexians actually win in the past and changing the entire future. But perhaps Teferi's original knowledge of time travel's potential dangers would make the phyrexians also not mess with time too much since they want to conquer everything, not destroy it all.
UB - Ashiok - So I remember that Ashiok already had a run in with the phyrexians as they went to seek them out after seeing them in Elsbeth's nightmare(s) and got intrigued. I would imagine that a planeswalker all about nightmares and the phyrexians being called literal "living nightmares" would be a perfect match made in hell. But with the way the encounter between them and Elesh Norn went, it makes me have some doubts but I'm sill confident in it, because I mean come on it is so perfect!
BR - Tibalt - Last time we saw him, Vorinclex had infected him with what he called a "seed" which I can only assume is Phyresis. Unless he did so "off screen," Vorinclex did not remove the phyresis from Tibalt, meaning that he is very much likely already compleated by now, so that's what I'm just expecting to be revealed. On a more personal note, my partner's favorite planeswalker is Tibalt and the phyrexians are their favorite thing in Magic, so if Tibalt did not become a phyrexian after this plot point from Kaldheim, then they would be extremely sad.
RG - Samut or Vivian - Samut hasn't really done anything after War of the Spark. Unless there is something out there that can tell me otherwise, we can assume that she went back to Amonket to try and fix things on her home plane, so from that perspective one could say that she might not even show up at all b/c her hands are full. BUT, Vivian could be an interesting option here. In New Capenna she and Urabrask had a meeting together. I don't remember exactly what it was, but I do like the idea of Vivian getting her new Red color from being compleated by Urabrask. But, there is still the theory about how Urabrask is going to betray the Phyrexians and Elesh Norn, so they might not have compleated Vivian.
GW - Ajani - Already confirmed compleated
WB - Kaya, Sorin, or someone new! - Honestly, I doubt that either of these two will become compleated, but these are the only two White-Black planeswalkers that we got right now. But there is always the chance that we'll get a few new planeswalkers that we have not actually met before, and some of them might be already compleated. This option is likely only going to happen only a couple of times, if at all, so since I doubt that they'll take away either of these characters and I need someone else here for this slot, this is the best I could come up with for now.
UR - Ral or Saheeli - I do think that one of them is going to go, either by death or by compleation, I am just not sure which one yet. They both would fit in really well in New Phyrexia, with Ral probably not needing to carry around his bottled lightning anymore because he'd be part robot now and could also syphon off some power from his new phyrexian allies, while Saheeli could contribute to their knowledge and designs from her artifice.
BG - Vivian or Vraska - Vivian is the one I am the least sure of overall. I think that WotC wants to try to do something with her character, but I'm not sure what yet. It could be something to do with the Phyrexians or something else, but like I said I'm not sure yet. Vraska is not really doing much now anymore, other than being the current Golgari leader. Unless something drastic happens with her character, I do not have much hope for her. Garruk could be another option, but like Ryan said they might not want to have Garruk get infected after he just got curred of his curse.
RW - Samut, Lukka, Nahiri, or someone new - Now I could see any of these characters possibly being compleated, but at the same time I also see none of these characters even showing up in the story. Samut is the most likely to be offed, but we haven't seen or heard much of her so who knows where she is. Lukka is a brand new character relatively speaking so I doubt that he is going to be taken out so quickly. Nahriri I doubt would get compleated, but there is not many others in this color slot so I figured I should include her as a possibility. But I believe the most likely option is for a new Red-White planeswalker character that has already been compleated to show up. This option is the least satisfying, but I don't like much of the other options that much.
GU - Tamiyo - Already confirmed compleated
But that's just my ideas. If anyone else believes in the full 10 card 2 color set of compleated planeswalkers, let me know what 10 planewalkers are on your list. Personally, I think that maybe 1 or 2 of the compleated planeswalkers might be brand new ones that we haven't seen before so that not all 10 will be ones that we've known from before. But they'd only be able to do that for a maximum of 3, MAYBE 4, since anymore and the whole "anyone could become compleated" part will lose its meaning. Because think about it, if they had to make new planewalkers to compleat in order to not compleat too many others that we already know, then it would cheapen the whole thing and would subtly say the exact opposite of that.
EDIT: After watching the recap of the Brother's War story, at least the story that takes place in the present, I realized that I forgot about Tezzeret a little bit. He is also one of the ones I believes has a chance of becoming compleated, but with his body from Nicol Bolas that gives him somewhere between a high resistance to an immunity to the phyresis, he kinda flew under my radar with this despite currently working with the Phyrexians right now. As for which 2 color slot he would fill in my theory, I'd say that he'd be either Blue-Black or Blue-Red with a higher chance of him being Blue-Black, though b/c I also have Ashiok in that color slot it kind of makes me unsure for both the UB slot and about Tezzeret getting compleated overall.

    • @romyjane17
      @romyjane17 ปีที่แล้ว

I think WU might be a new one, since I think Teferi might be the one to blow himself up with the Sylex.
For UB I agree that Ashiok could work. But in the story it seems that they’re messing with Elesh’s head, so this spot might be for a new planeswalker or a color shifted mono blue/mono black one (maybe a compleated Nissa abandons the green and combines her previous blue and black color identity).
      BR Tibalt is a yes.
RG: I think Vivien is going to stay monoG, and in the story, Samut is hiding with the others on Amonkhet, so that also might not happen. This might also be where a new character pops up (maybe even a known legendary gets a spark? Like Radha or Meria). Sarkhan might also be an option.
      GW Ajani confirmed.
WB, I agree with probably a new character. Could also be a color shifted character, although I have no idea who. Maybe Davriel if Liliana survives and stays the head of mono B planeswalkers.
For UR, from Ral or Saheeli, I hope Ral gets compleated and we keep Saheeli, because I would like to go back to Kaladesh and have her be a part of it.
BG, Nissa could be it. Vraska needs to stay for when we return to ravnica for the 4th time, since so much has changed around there due to WAR, there needs to be some stability. I think Vivien stays monoG. Garruk still needs to meet Liliana imo, as part of Lilianas redemption arc. Maybe Tyvar could work, since he has the color identity, and could be a way to show newer characters aren’t save either. Calix could turn BG if the phyrexians promise him help with catching Elspeth. They could color shift Oko (although less likely to happen imo).
RW, I think Lukka and Nihiri are safe. If Samut would be compleated, she’d fill the RG spot imo. Maybe Sarkhan color shifts to RW. Or Rowan to RW, with Will in UB and Garruk in mono G as he is tormented he could save them.
      GU is Tamiyo ofc.
Do you think there will be mono colored compleations?

Gideon's sacrifice was in War of the Spark, which was May of 2019, which will be four years ago by the time we reach March of the Machine. In that time, Liliana has saved the Kenrith twins and countless other students while teaching at Strixhaven, and stopped the Phyrexians from reaching Lim-Dul's magic ring. I'm not sure what else they can do to redeem her, and her death wouldn't even be "so soon" after Gideon's at this point.

I’m basing my prediction on two things:
One: I think we will see two more compleated planeswalkers, one to act as a kind of champion for each of the praetors minus Urabrask. And Two: which ones give the potential for the coolest art if they are compleated
If we count Tamiyo for blue and Ajani for white, my predictions are Arlin for green (though I can also see Vivien) and Vraska for black
Also counter point to one on your list. Wizards seems interested in having planeswalkers that fit the identities of the various people who play the game, and currently Ral is the only gay man in the list. What if the way "Magic will be changed forever" as stated in the marketing for March of the Machines Aftermath is that non-Walkers will have access to other planes similar to how things were pre-mending? If you have a giant interconnected system that allow the sorta-living Phyrexians around the multiverse, what is that to say about other, more live beings?

Garruk is one of about three planeswalkers left I still care about and him being unceremoniously compleated so soon after he was finally cured might be what permanently checked me out of the story. Every deck I own with green mana has return of the wildspeaker in it because the art and quote capture that moment and the years of hoping my favorite character would return to the version I knew and loved coming to fruition so perfectly it makes me smile and brightens my day every time I see it. My list. This is gonna be loong (that's what she said). I'd be wary though, consider that they choose to compleat tamiyo and ajani, two characters with arcs unfinished and ties with relevant planes.
Angrath: safe. We are having a return to Ixalan soon and he is the pirate planeswalker.
Arlin: safe. For the same reasons you said.
Ashiok: safe. The thing about ashiok is I feel she has too much potential to be compleated. I think for story reasons having a midlevel planeswalker that was able to get away with humillating Elesh Norn is just too likeable.
Barsi Ket: safe. Too forgetable to even compleat. Also, phyrexia will have -1/-1 counters, so that is akward with Barsi's +1/+1 counter mechanic. (Wizards doesn't like to use both types of counters in the same set.)
Calix: mostly safe. I agree with you, but him being so close with Elspeth drags him into the conflict, maybe even siding with the phyrexians. That said, we already have a GW compleated planeswalker.
Chandra: safe. She is the face of magic and has a strong connection with kaladesh, a plane we will come back too no doubt.
Daretti: safe. He is a bit too unknown to be compleated. Still there is a chance.
Darviel: safe. I think he could get got by the phyrexians, but we haven't explored much about him nonetheless.
Elspeth: safe. It's pretty clear Elspeth is going to be one of the major characters in the war. She is probably going to lead them to victory.
Garruk: safe. They can't do it. They wouldn't dare.
Huatli: safe. I think she will be the one that replaces Ajani (she is more generic, Calix has a focus on enchantment).
Jace: Mostly safe. The thing about jace is he is connected with ravnica and is one of the main characters of the story, but I think he could end up being the big gut punch.
    Jared: Safe. Agreeing with you.
Mu and Yiang: safe. We haven't been to their plane yet. Also, we already have a planeswalker pair that fits a lot more into the story.
Kaito: 50-50. Kaito is a big ally to the wandering emperor and a relatively new character. That said, I could see him dying for her.
Karn: I think Karn will be compleated but somehow resist it or sacrifice himself. Rn Karn is in the possetion of the phyrexians and it is unclear what they what to do with him, but it's not good.
Kasmina: safe. Too intresting and unexplored.
Kiora: 50-50. Back in the day Kiora was THE simic planesalker. Now we have a lot more and her arc in Zendikar is clearly done. That said, I'm not sure she is relevant enough to be compleated. Maybe if the phyrexians attack theros.
Koth: I'm pretty sure he has been compleated. He is in the plane, hasn't left ever since or anything like that. They probably captured him long ago and just now were able to compleat him. He could be the double agent when the gatewatch arrives in new phyrexia-
Liliana: Nah, lili is one of the most intresting characters in the story, her grief over gideon is reasonable and we still haven't really seen what she wants to do. She could sacrifice herself or something like that, but I think we'll see more of her.
Lukka: Probs a double agent already. He is a really odd inclusion to the story as he is one of the most forgetabble planeswalkers, I'm pretty sure he is just a spy. As for villains, I think wotc has enough of them, and there is probably a new threat loaming in the horizon (in fact, my prediction is that phyrexia will lose but they'll unleash some new threat/evil that will become the next big bad. Yawgmoth2.0? Maybe not even phyrexian.)
    Narset: safe. Agreed.
Bolas: I expect Bolas to play a role in the story. Him being compleated would be a "look how scary these new big bad is, that can easily defeat the old big bad", but bolas being so iconic makes me think that is not happening. I think he is safe and ready to cause trouble.
    Niko: nah, safe.
Nissa: my choice for major character most likely to be compleated. Her arc is done, would be a gut punch for most characters involved, could corrupt entire souls of worlds (the thing Yawgmoth wanted to do most). I think she might be an agent already or she will be compleated soon. Mechanically she is extremly similar to Wrenn, and I think Wrenn is a far cooler character.
Ob: Nah, safe. Besides Tibalt is borderline a phyrexian already and we don't need two BR compleated planeswalkers.
Oko: Safe from compleation, but could die. I don't think that's very likely though. He is a fun character to be fair, it's just people hated his card.
Ral: 50-50. He is not that releevant but him being compleated would make sense. Regarding him and Saheeli, to be fair they focus on different things mechanically. Ral cares about instants and sorceries and Saheeli about artifacts. I think having a spellslinger PW is soemthign wotc wants.
Royal Scions: 50-50. I think you put it well. I think we have mu and yiang in the horizon to replace them as the defacto "team planeswalker", but they are the eldarine walkers and maro really really likes eldraine (too much for his own good imo)
Saheeli: Mostly safe. She is more likely to die than to be compleated, as she is alsmot certianly not a double agent right now (unless Norn has been playing 7d chess).
Sarkhan: 50-50. He is a bit off the relevance charts and he has a strong tie with tarkir (I think he could be on the dragon side of the battle in tarkir), but I think him being the phyrexian dragon planeswalker is really cool and probably something wotc has considered.
Sorin: Safe. There is too much to do with him yet.
Tefferi: He is not safe at all. I think it's more likely he dies rather than becomes compleated, but I wouldn't write that off.
Tezzeret: He is explicitly immune to compleation, but he could be killed or used by the phyrexian in a "different" way, so I don't know what to think. I think he will end up being the "so close to get what you want, but then you die at the last minute" character.
    Teyo: Safe.
Tibalt: Probably compleated, though even then I don't know how well they will be abl eto control him, he is just pure chaos. I think he could end up being the "wish you hadn't compleated me" guy. Consider that Urabrask is a red phyrexian and still doesn't follow Norn's orders.
Tyvar: safe. Agree with you. Also think he'll replace Nissa.
Ugin: Mostly safe. My prediction is similar to yours but the other way around: he willl be asked for help and will agree, and without his brother nearby Bolas will escape and become a threat once more. Aside from that, Ugin could be an "oh carp" kind of death. And if he was compleated (is that even possible?), that would be devastated. But seeing how karn is probably not living, Ugin could become the defact colorless planeswalker.
Vivien: Agreeing with you mostly. I think she could end up being an agent.
Vraska: If jace doesn't get compleated, I think Vraska will. Again, they broke established arcs with tamiyo and ajani before, and the drama and guilt of Jace is too juicy for a story. She has strong connections in ravnica, so she is of great importance for the phyrexians. Ravnica seems like an ideal place for the phyrexians to spread.
Wrenn: safe. She is new and unique. I think she'll be fine.
I have a big asterisk though. There is a chance completion is reversible. I wouldn't like that because I feel it goes against what completion represents, but it is possible. In that case (which would be lame), pretty much everyone could be compleated except for Elspeth until the end of the story where she "frees them" all. Hopefully not though. Or at least reversing completion has a very serious and real cost.
The other scenario is that some of the phyrexians (probably just a few) and the people in mirrodin will help the planeswalkers and as such will be spared. That could include potentially some of the compleated planeswalkers, mainly Tibalt who is the hardest one to control. That said, would anyone willingly spare Tibalt?
I am liking the story more than war of the spark, except for the new capenna arc. Hopefully they keep it up.

Karn, Teferi, and Liliana are going to be the trinity that ends this round of the Physrexian threat (possibly wiping out New Phyrexia). Karn has always (pretty correctly) blamed himself for this mess; Teferi and Liliana will sacrifice themselves to protect our metal man. Teferi's death will undo the magic keeping Zalfir out of sync, giving us a whole new legacy to play with. Liliana's legacy will be a little more ephemeral: I predict Will and Rowen (and probably Garruk) will survive because of Liliana, and the three of them will take that as inspiration to go and do great things, neatly spinning off Liliana's actions into a whole other story about these new characters. (Maybe it will even inspire Garruk to check in on his home, giving us that bit of information.)

Elspeth and Teferi (probably others as well) go on Operation: Rescue Karn. They save him but begin to get chased, Elspeth, Karn, and Teferi talk about how to activate the Sylex. They decide to stay and hold off the Phyrexians while Karn begins to activate it. Elspeth starts 1v1 million with Teferi giving her support before she sprouts angel wings to help her in the fight, at this point we also learn she’s connected to Serra. Teferi gets hurt, Elspeth starts to run out of juice, then Calyx appears to help and instead is urged to take Elspeth and escape while Karn and Teferi activate the Sylex.

I think one thing you might be looking past with Kiora is that we know the whole compleated mechanic requires 2 color planeswalkers to have the hybrid phyrexian mana..... And blue green has already been completed..... They likely won't compleat more than 1 per color pair (10 for 2 color pairs, assuming no 3+ colors)

I don't think the compleated team will just die, it makes way more sense for the future lore of MTG if they are kept in standby after phyrexia is defeated, sealed away or imprisoned (like Nicol bolas is at the moment, waiting for the time the writers need him again) so the next time they show up we can't really know if they are still phyrexians or if they can control their compleation

Let's look back to New Phyrexia...
Karn was gifted Immunity to phyrexian corruption by the sacrifice of Venser.
So unless something really interesting happens, Karn _can't_ become the next father if machines.
Also, let's remember Melira, Sylvok Outcast, who, while not a planeswalker, was not only immune to the glistening oil, but able to heal it's corruption in other people.
Koth knows about her, and possibly knows she's still living in Tangle next to the Radix on New Phyrexia - The Radix being a holy place on Mirrodin that breaks down machines and causes them to return to nature.
    Mirrodin will shine again.

I'd believe they compleat Angrath. The horror of him making it back home to his daughters just to be compleated/a sleeper agent and then put down would be wild.
If they take Nahiri, I'll riot. She was my favorite from her reveal.
I could see Sorin either dying or getting compleated. The Gatewatch and Co. aren't just bringing the fight to the Phyrexians; the Phyrexians are bringing the fight to other planes, too.
Teferi's the only one who knows how the Sylex was activated. After he gets off Zhalfir, I can see him making the heroic sacrifice.

For Lilliana's story I really want her to head back to ahmonkhet, iirc the soul of the plane was dead due to nicol bolas and it would be really cool to see if she could resurrect an entire plane essentially, maybe she gets back the chain veil and uses it's power. Both to help the people of amonkhet who she may feel a debt to due to her actions in war of the spark and Cleopatra Lilliana would be great to see. Course I'm also just a huge Lilliana fan so I'm very much biased.

What i think will happen with Calix is that he'll get close to capturing Elspeth, but he will get ro see the Phyrexians and what they're capable of doing to any plane, including Theros, and will allow Elspeth to fight the Phyrexians and may actually assist her, but once they're defeated she's coming back with him (to Theros), considering Elspeth's actually honorable, she might agree, but then Calix will get compleated, causing him to lose his Nyxborn properties as well, and he will be destroyed permanently by someone, so Elspeth will be free (alternatively she will be replaced by Basri or maybe Elspeth will sacrifice herself to defeat the Phyrexians, allowing Calix to join the Gatewatch)

"Kill" is a very strong term with Magic: the Gathering.
    I call it "scooping" instead.
Honestly, I'm intrigued that neither Tamiyo nor Ajani really have attributes that are truly outside of their color identities. Phyrexia is no longer bound to only be black mana. Which is incredibly interesting to me. Phyrexians, as created by Yawgmoth, were oiriginally the epitome of black mana. Their creation influenced by black mana was so obscenely strong that in New Phyrexia, the five suns essentially made them all respective dual-colors with a black mana pairing itself. That, and most cards printed in that set carried an overbearing tone of black mana too which is why I wish I had a time machine.
Now things feel more individualistic even, which already goes against the ways of "old" Phyrexia.
Maybe they're not all _that_ evil anymore?
Or maybe I'm biased...I do wish a better existence for them. True freedom can only be purchased with power.

Interesting theories. Although I can't quite agree on the logic behind some of them. For example, placing Ral and Saheeli in the same box because they are of Izzet colors and are shown to have an affinity for artifice. While that is true on the surface, both 'walkers fulfill roles that are distinct toward gameplay archetypes and strategies. One leans more toward spell-slinging while the other tools with artifact creation and synergies, respectively. So compleating/killing off one to give the other more prominence seems like a lackluster reason. Plus, with all the 'walkers we've seen that you'd think are replacements for ones that were killed off, WotC hasn't been quick to utilize them in any set, especially given the breakneck pace at which they release product.
And Liliana is just as much a face of the game as Chandra and Jace, so I don't think she will meet her end. Maybe be put on the sidelines with an occasional reprint or new card to remind everyone she's still around. But as mentioned before, she, too, fulfills a role in the game, whereas her mono-black contemporaries do things unique from her.

Any thoughts on if we'll get a surprise appearance from one of the supplemental set planeswalkers like Aminatou, Estrid, or Grist? I'm particularly interested on if there are plans for Grist since she was a specific request from the creative team during the development of Modern Horizons 2.

    • @MagicArcanum
      @MagicArcanum  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Those characters exist in products alongside the likes of Lord Windgrace and Freyalise, who are long dead. Supplemental sets don't connect to the 'present day' storyline, so it felt like trying to guess if those characters would show up would be unnecessary. That said, Wrenn also showed up first in Modern Horizons, so it is possible someone like Grist could also appear by the time we're through with March of the Machine.

My bets are on Liliana making the ultimate sacrifice trying to live up to Gideon’s legacy or doing something related to her being haunted by Gideon’s Sacrifice, Elspeth will survive but there’s gonna be something big going to happen between her and Ajani, Saheeli is probably gonna bite it along with Teferi. Vivian I’m on the fence about but there’s something going to happen with her Elspeth and Ajani.

So...long comment warning and im not all that up to lore since "i retired" years ago but my take on planeswalkers i didnt mostly agree on. Ajani/tamiyo. Toast. They set the threat level at beginning. Ajani might have bit of old him back at dying breath but he is there just to make elspeth pissed(not that she would have any motivation against phyrexia). Considering backlash over war of spark i presume whole lot of established characters are gone for good because that clearly was only problem with that story. Ashiok/tezzeret. Ultimate wild card. Same colors. Ashiok has much more story potential learning from nightmare that is phyrexia and it becoming a fear in all living beings in multiverse again...smart money says it will become the new threat to all that exists therefore making tezzeret odd man out. Calix. Good points made but most importantly: heres a chance to salvage something from return to theros storywise. Also gw enchantments is a thing. Davriel/liliana. Liliana really has tied all the story knots so tight it is hard to see there be much more than redoing what gideon did. Davriel on other hand is bit...risky replacement for non-lore non-gameplay reasons. Namely he will always be tied to brandon sanderson yet he is bit of a mystery. Elspeths final stand. After the war against phyrexia there is almost nothing to do with her. Going off the limb here and maybe she gets some form of bitter retirement likes of liliana have now tried to have with daxos. I mean there has to be ways other than death to get out of the (literal) game. Karn will survive and be further traumatised because pacifists with nothing but good intentions cant catch a break ever. Kioras story is not done but colorpairing is getting full of legends and despite all the cool stuff she really havent gotten momentum to be a-tier magic celebrity. Nicol bolas will worm his way out in weakened state just to be a menacing shadow thats not too obvious. Nissa/ral. I cant see where their stories can go anymore but considering their orientation i cant see at least both being goners. Wild guess would be that nissa is done as there is replacement to pretty much all she has ever being and it propably plays a part on chandras story going forward. Will/rowan. I see these becoming literally one being one way or another. That might just be my body horror fan overriding my reason. Teferi will survive but suffer greatly. No, no justification, just gut feeling. Vivian should be done with now. The story is done. Vraska should be safe but you really could milk some very attractive drama from jace if something bad happens to her.
