Irish Sheep Herding Dog Demonstration.

During our trip to Ireland we went to a sheep farm south of Dublin and watched the owner show us how the dogs are trained. He showed how they are trained to follow his whistling. With different pitches in his whistle he can make the dog either run to the right or to the left, run in circles, pretty much anything he wants the dog to do. All the dogs they use have come from the same line of dogs and can be traced back about 100 years. One of the smartest dogs we have ever seen. Well worth the stop to see this.
