Nah Andy is definitely overthinking this. There is no way I would have Solanke near my team when there's this many good options available at the forward spot. There Haaland, Kane, Jesus, Toney, Mitrovic, Isak who most want, then the potential of Jota, Darwin, Aubameyang etc to become options.

For anyone wanting a Newcastle triple up, whatever you do just don’t go for triple defence. None of the CBs are nailed yet, the only reason it’s been Schar and Botman recently is because Targett was injured so Burn was playing LB. From here I can see rotation between Schar/Botman/Burn, whilst Lascelles might even get some game time too as he started against Liverpool. It’s also not as simple as playing one left footer (Burn/Botman) and one right footer (Schar/Lascelles) as Howe has been trying a Burn/Botman combo too. It looks like ASM is out a bit longer so Almiron and Isak are the best options for a third Newcastle player.
I'm wildcarding this week, and going outside the box and going with Begovic and Guatia and not Pope. Works with my long term transfer strategy and allows me to get Trent, Cancelo and Salah all back on my team by week 12 with no hits.

We are all scared of Maddison this week, yet Spurs conceded twice in UCL. If Maddison is such a big difference between GW8 and 9 WCs then why not just punt on Maddison for WC this week and see if he scores against Spurs? Even if he blanks you save booking a transfer and keep up with the GW9 WCs down the line. I don't think Saka/Bowen etc are so much better that going without one of them for Maddison is risking too much.
A super forward planning video Andy. I'm taking a -4 to get 11 player but with a risky Ward in goal. I was looking at a way to keep Salah but with a decent midfield. West Ham problem is they have had 7 different attacking formation the last 7 games....they haven't find the right combination to settle that and thus affecting everyone on the front.

Kane is a guaranteed starter while son is not, for a longer run go with Kane, for this game week Bowen is essential in racking some points, Mitrovic is also really good this week as they play nottingham. In my opinion, this is what I would do, 1 Kane 2 Mitrovic 3 Bowen, son is not in consideration, too expensive for not guaranteed start

I hadn't notice the extra transfers for required for GW8 as I've been focussed on GW9 for 2 weeks, but that's definitely another reason to delay until GW9 if we can. Have you thought about dropping Martinelli for Sinisterra in the GW9 wildcard? Matrinelli is a blank or two away from mass sales & ARS fixtures are trash, we could see a lot of Martinelli sales over the coming weeks meaning the value we've built up in him could diminsh. Sinnisterra could be shrewd differential. Your man Solanke there could be a super dark horse too btw.
I think martinelli will be kept by most, his a cheap way in to the arsenal attack and has returned 4/6 game weeks. I don't see him being a blank away from a mass sale as no one at his price point is scoring the same. I like sinisterra but leeds haven't been great and have a better run of fixtures 19-25. Which gives us more data on how he's performing too plus hopefully have a proper starting 11 without the defensive injuries and rodrigo

I think City might do big things against Crystal Palace and I think he gets a closer score to Kane compared to Toney, then you have Toney and Sterling next week, no hit, money in the bank and hopefully good points from KDB.

Andy if you free hit then do your GW9 wildcard you would fly up the ranks. You don’t want to be stuck with a poor post wildcard team with so many variables. Or making hits just with 1 gameweek in mind.

Do it, trippier will play so its only a -2 if he doesnt return, and a +2 if he keeps a clean sheet with the potential of a goal or assist maybe. Plus better fixtures can get trent back at a later date.

Bowen doesn't matter as much as I'd have him on GW8 Wildcard anyway, so for me Son is the only issue.

For most people I would try and avoid Free Hit if you can. Difficult to know without seeing each individual team though.

GW9 WC is the play imo. An extra week if there are injuries in GW8 and international break. Another weeks worth of data.

Have Martinelli and kane in my WC draft but will want to switch to sterling and toney next week. Worth just putting toney in now to avoid the -4 or does Kane outscore him by +4 this week?
Is there a way you can get KDB instead of Kane this week, keep Toney then do KDB to Sterling? I think City might do big things against Crystal Palace and I think he gets a closer score to Kane compared to Toney, then you have Toney and Sterling next week, no hit, money in the bank and hopefully good points from KDB.
@@michaela2706 it’s a good point. My concern is it leaves me quite weak for the Spurs fixture which looks good. I also think one of haaland and KDB may get rested and I think Bernardo Silva isn’t too far off KDB in terms of potential
I can get away with a -4 this week. With that I'd much rather make a few transfers then wild card once all the international break news breaks so that i have a fully functioning team from GW9 onwards.

Son, in his current form, does it warrant to be the trigger point of a WC? Seems to be solely based on ability to use up as much as the 12.9m of Salah money as possible. There's only KDB and Son anywhere near that price....

I’m taking a -4 as I used my wildcard early on after messing up GW1, trying as best as possible to plan for future transfers for the blank liv ars GW12 and still can follow template with normal transfers thanks for your help Andy

Form is temporary class is permanent, sons bound to bouce back at some point surely and what a fixture to do it in against a woeful leicester defense of late. Ive took the punt for this week alone then will transfer salah back in following gw

Andy if you free hit then do your GW9 wildcard you would fly up the ranks. You don’t want to be stuck with a poor post wildcard team with so many variables. Or making hits just with 1 gameweek in mind.

Your comment on Solanke seems kind of contradictory… Jorginho is a 5.5 mid who’s nailed + on pens + more likely for clean sheets and you don’t pick him - would love to know if there’s a reason I’m missing

Son has not been good whatsoever this season, he might even get benched and if he doesn’t get benched he’ll probably be subbed out after like 70 mins

Trent to trippier for -4? I'm one starter short at the moment
Do it, trippier will play so its only a -2 if he doesnt return, and a +2 if he keeps a clean sheet with the potential of a goal or assist maybe. Plus better fixtures can get trent back at a later date.
