I Do Know Nothing Reacts To: Sony’s Spider-Man villain spin-off universe is dead. ‘KRAVEN THE HUNTER’ will be the final film in the SUMC universe for now. My Letterboxd: letterboxd.com...
Starting a Spider-Man Universe without Spider-Man is the equivalent of starting a Marvel Cinematic Universe without The X-Men & The Fantastic Four Except the difference is Marvel somehow made it work
@@directorAREESHnah if they started with The X-Men instead of The Avengers it wouldn’t change much, because The X-Men is Marvel’s Flagship like how DC’s Flagship Team is The Justice League
They can still do it.Its just put on hold until they're done with the Spider-Man related projects(MCU Spider-Man 4, Beyond the Spider-verse and the Spider-Man Noir show)
The best things to come out of the SSU at least for me was at least the Venom movies. Were they masterpieces? Nah not really. Were they fun to watch? Hell yeah.
No, because it didn't "peak". It was solely carried by Tom Hardy's acting alone. Without him, the movies wouldn't have been fun, so the credit goes to him not the movies.
I just like the fact that he just did not mention that there are taking a pause for three years so it’s not officially dead so I think you’re doing a great job not mentioning that
Hopefully the Seth Rogan Animated Venom movie is real so we can finally have a cool adaptation of the king in black story and try Carnage again but make him Absolute Carnage this time, and hopefully an MCU Venom with multiple symbiotes and a more serious cosmic horror story

I’m fine with this, especially since that piece of symbiote is still in the MCU. Also, Spider-Verse and Venom are indirectly canon to the Deadpool trilogy (besides just the Marvel Earth naming conventions). You’re welcome, Sony.
It would have been better if they have Aaron Johnson's Kraven the Hunter transport himself into The Amazing Spiderman Universe and have him fight Garfield's Spiderman.
It’s funny how Sony probably thinks everyone is heartbroken about this news when it’s probably the most we’ve jumped for joy about when it comes to movies this year
The only reason the Sonyverse had no Spider-Man is because Sony's contract with Marvel stipulates that Sony can't actively use any competing interpretations of Peter Parker, and Marvel doesnt want to have to compete with Sony at the box office over Spider-Man. I absolutely guarantee that Sony would've used Spider-Man had they legally been able to.
They should make a 13 reasons why style Spider-Man movie because let’s be real here how do you lose everything at 17 and stress over being a superhero without considering suicide
YES! Now can we PLEASE give Andrew TASM 3 where he defeats the Sinister Six, cures Harry (who apologizes for killing Gwen but Peter denies him and has him sent away for good and Oscorp destroyed), and complete his character arc? We've been waiting for SO LONG!
I don’t think Andrew is really interested in coming back for Spider-Man. He’s moved on to other works and no way home he only came back because tobey was there he’s Said it himself to him that’s it and nwh kind of partly wraps things up. What they originally came up with for the 3rd movie is just weird even parts of the 2nd movie are kind of silt like the whole cure thing
I actually did like venom in Sony. Should've made carnage rated r and the last one was all over the place. But out of all the Sony marvel superhero movies that was the best one
I don't give a F I as a 20 year old will still keep watching the Venom trilogy way more than Madame Web Morbius, and Kraven The Hunter despite the problems those films having no little connection to Spider-Man, Fight me.
Not really, laughably enjoyable? Yeah but ‘good as hell’ no not really, it’s only carried by Tom Hardy and they are like the fox x-men movies but without the excuse of being the first comic book movies to be made, most of the trilogy leans a bit on the bad x-men films
honestly THANK GOD, I hate how this universe pretty much held hostage some of spiderman's best villains, hopefully now we can see venom and/or kraven in the mcu get the treatment they deserve
They could’ve made a Miles Morales movie by now. A 2099 project. A Spider-Girl movie. A cinematic universe without Spider-Man could be possible. But Sony have no idea of the kind of characters they own.
So the universe is not dead.If it says for now, then its for now and they'll come back to it. And your saying that they've made no money?Dude, half of them(the VENOM movies) were box office succeeses.Sure, they did lose their way with Morbius and Madame Web,but there's still Kraven and it could do well.
When Spider-Man isn’t in a movie in the same universe it doesn’t feel the same. I watched the first Venom movie but I was never interested in any of the others
I myself can agree that the only thing in SUMC was venom, like it wasn't the most fire film of the entire world, but it was fun watching it and was pretty cool lookin imo
That's good news, for now. If Sony messed up again Marvel should bought the Spider Man rights back so we can see more of Spider Man and the villains in the MCU
They technically set up a Spider-Man movie with Madame Web since if Peter was born in 2003, he'd be college-age in the "present" (depending when such a movie would come out). Of course they were too incompetent to even follow through with it though.,
Bro, it would be insane if the final movie is actually really good and then people want more and then they bring it back. And then all the movies are dead, like, actually, that'd be so funny where it's just an endless loop
That’s great news, and it better start in the ground like it should have been in Years and let’s hope that 3 Year Break is permanent and then go 5 Year so Sony will give the rights back to marvel
I heard they're still dying a Agent Venom film, which take that as you will, but it is still variant of Spider-Man, I mean, he looks like the black suit Spider-Man with a few differences.
Actually someone made a Fan script for Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and the main villains were the Sinister Six, and not gonna like that fan script was cooking.
I think that sony could still make some money from the rights of spiderman, seeing how they're making a spiderman noir show, it would be really cool of they made movies or shows about the other spidermen like penny parker, hobbie brown or silk, that would be awesome
They aren't the same studio. Into/Across the Spider-Verse is Sony Animation Studios, the others are Sony Film Studios, two different, albeit Sony, studios.
This is good, but I do feel bad for all the Morbius fans who are probably crying knowing they’ll never get a sequel But good for us Spider-Man fans because Sony is actually being smart now and focusing on movies about Spider-Man
I've never understood who these films were for. They also clearly weren't for comic fans since they went out of their way to remove so much of the appeal of these characters ; you like these villains? well too bad cause we're making them generic anti-heroes with no link to the hero they are inherently connected to.
Wait a minute I don’t think SSU is kinda a ending, I know the next/last film is Kraven the Hunter, but coincidentally, from the SSU, they’re developing a spider man noir series which we all know about, so that kinda doesn’t mean it will end like this
