The shortest boy that you were calling Woozi is not Woozi. His name is Kim Samuel, he was the youngest member trainee with Seventeen when they were still trainees but he did not debut because he was like 11 years old then and his mum was a bit concerned (pls correct me if I am wrong). Samuel is half Korean, and half Mexican, but was born and raised in America. Thank you @pancakebellyache for the info

Most of seventeen joined pledis when they were in middle school and trained for 4,5,6 years and the whole green basement(Melona room) came during the live stream that their company started as 17tv to showcase them and monitor them before their debut which lasted from 2012 to 2015 and pledis was indeed struggling and going through bad times which caused their debut to delay as well.( It was a very tough time for them but at the same time it made their bond the strongest)
Samuel is still in touch with Seventeen members, he was in chinese show with The8 and Jun few years ago, they also met in ISAC and Seventeen will always treat him like their maknae baby. This is also why they don’t treat Dino as baby of the group, it will always be Samuel.
That kid is samuel. He was a trainee with svt but since he was I guess only 11 at that time his mom didn't want him to debut so he left. He I a soloist
I will share a little bit my experience way back then when "Green Room/Melona room" started.
First I was fans of After school, and many pledis artist, back then pledis doesn't have any male trainee, and the first trainee was Jonghyun then baekho from Nu'est ((Seventeen older brothers before they disband)).
Scoups was also like first generation of pledis boys ((pledis trainees)), he was actually will be debuting with nu'est but it's not happening. So he later joint with other pledis boys trainees like hoshi, woozi ((this is the 2nd wave that joining pledis))..
After Nu'est debut they actually wanted to debut another boygroup called "Tempest", this is consist scoups, hoshi, woozi and two other trainee. But cancelled..
And then in 2013 suddenly there's a teaser of Seventeen tv, and this is where all the pledis boys getting introduce ((scoups, hoshi, woozi also there)).. I think their first broadcast is on Christmas where suddenly I saw all these kids acting like theater club lol..
The first episode there's like 7/8 member, because they're speaking korean of course, most people from international (including me). We don't understand a sh*t mwhahaah, It's feel like watching a bunch of children always talking ((yes from the start they never stop talking lol)) without subs 😂.
We identify them by the outfit or something they bring, like that "binnie hat" ((this is wonwoo 😂))..
And this is live stream mind you..
I forgot how many episode, but at the end of season they usually have like mini performance, like what you do in High school.
So they perform in front of small audience..
On the first season their performance, that actually when I realize, they will HIT BIG later when debut..
Because I never see a performance so perfect, and synchronized like that..
They actually prepare the show by themselves...
This is the reason why right now Seventeen always have an incredible performance whenever they on stage, and when rookie they don't have stiffness...
The reason why seventeen tv have many season, it's because pledis keep pushin back their debut..
Just imagine waiting from 2013 until finally 2015 they debut...
They actually parody their melona room on caratland lolol..
I also have a proof, I"ve been on their predebut days, you can check on my channel.. that's just a little bit clip I cut back then..
Because pledis never upload the full version, only highlight.
Oh yeah beside doing seventeen tv, they also have like radio but we can called it podcast, in afreeca tv. When hoshi and seungkwan as VJ.. then DK is like the regular guest there.. and this is where BSS born 😂..

I am kinda surprised that they made out of the melon prison that green room without missing any part of their body, it was surprising everybody was fine and

In fact, the little boy is not Woozi, he is Samuel. He was the youngest member of them, but his mother took him out before the debut due to his young age. There were also three people with Samuel, but all four of them left before the debut, and they were supposed to be seventeen 17 members if the four had not come out.
seventeen green room (or melona prison) content comes from their predebut 17tv “show”. the room was the old pledis practice room, and the company set up multiple cameras all livestreaming to ustream at the same time. the streams started christmas 2012 and ended mid 2014, and there’s hours upon hours of live untranslated content from this era lost to the internet.
for the name, the original plan was to debut a 17 member group with an average age of 17 in 2013. the most they had a one time was 16 members, but as people left and the company struggled, the debut kept getting pushed back further and further. there were 4 other regulars on 17tv who were potential members but eventually left; jang doyoon, yao mingming, shin dongjin, and kim samuel (the little kid in 17tv, he was 10-11 at the time)
Majority of members got scouted and only a few actually auditioned, also that was around 2012-2013 when their debut was supposed to happened but got pushed back, that's why Samuel's mom (the little kid) took him off the company bc svt was about to to debut and thought he was too young
And yes, this was like s livestream, as a way to promote the group before their debut Pledis broadcasted their trainees (SVT) in a schedule cctv program, they indeed interacted with viewers some times throughout question they sent, etc

Where he is now is doing solo music and getting ready to release a solo album. They have been training for 2-3 years. They were going to debut in 2013 but didn’t have enough funds so they waited two years they finally debuted through a show called “17 Project” on May 26,2015
Their training period in the green basement was kind of aired live at that time... And even BTS used to watch them becuz they were also trainees at that time and it was new for them.
So seventeen was originally named seventeen cause of seventeen members but since four of them left one of them the short little boy was kim samuel he was originally gonna debut with the group but his mother pulled him out cause he was only 11 and was concerned for him hes korean/mexican born and raised in america btw he left pledis but then was in a rap duo group and then became a soloist under cube left the company later on but then left kpop to just become a idol like justin bieber sort of thing just making music and dancing. so the meaning was probably changed cause of that but somehow they changed it in a way where the group name still makes sense only one out of the 4 kept in touch for a while which was Samuel and Jang Doyoon another guy out of the 4 became an actor the other two disappeared and went back to normal human life cause i have no clue what happened to them
Other than Samuel, the only one i knew what happened is Ming Ming. He wemt back to China. He was in Unine and BLK. He's still singing
12:12 fun fact! The "Ha!" Song is Catellena by Orange Caramel who are a super fun 3 member subunit from the group After School, who are actually seventeen's seniors since their also from Pledis! Several seventeen members actually show up in the background of one of Orange Caramel's MVs. And Orange Caramel (a 3 member subunit with the funniest members) is honestly the predecessor to BSS!

Actually there were three people with Little Samuel who you thought was Woozi, but all four of them left before the debut, and they were supposed to be Seventeen members. 17 If the four didn't come out, we wouldn't know anything about them except Little Samuel is now famous and he has met the members of Seventeen. FYI: Seventeen TV was an online program broadcast periodically on Ustream. It was a livestream, making SVT the only group to have their trainee time showcased in real-time like this. The show ran from 2012 to 2015, up until Seventeen's debut. In the final season, it was renamed "Like Seventeen," and they also had a show called "Seventeen Project." Spanning three years, the majority of the content consists of practice sessions for singing and dancing, capturing the beginning of SVT's self-produced stages brilliantly. As SVT showcased their gifted talents in self-producing, later in the show, Pledis staff changed their daily tasks from "covering a song in one week" to "producing and choreographing a song in one week" *LOL*
You also right that it was a basement, SVT said they spent around 12 hours/day in there. This green room is also famous as "Melona Prison" for an obvious reason.
The kid was not Woozi it was Samuel. He was supposed to debut with Seventeen but he was very young and was not able to. Woozi was in the intro wearing blue shirt and also the one who was about to strike someone with the guitar. The guy who was wearing Christmas tree clothes was Jun (correct me if I'm wrong). The8 was the only member that was not in the green room because he joined Seventeen later on after the green room I think? (correct me if I'm wrong) but he was able to debut with Seventeen together.

that small child is a korean-mexican-american artist who almost debuted with seventeen named samuel, people generally agree he was too young to debut so its good his mom pulled him from the team. pledis would not have been responsible with him. especially since in his career he faced racism for being mixed race in korea & not looking korean

P.s actually there were actually 17 members at first. but 2 is out from the trainee days and then Samuel the smallest kids too. So they changed the meaning of the groups to 13 + 3 sub units = 17

So basically if they were part of seventeen now, it'll basically 17 members in total. 13+4. There were supposedly 17 members but yeah... 13+3+1 strategic marketing was born haha

Did you really watch the guide. Like it said in guide there was supposed to be seventeen members at first but it didn’t work out so they made up the 13+3+1 thing to equal 17. And the boy you keep referring to is named Samuel and he was amazing but he left the kpop industry after a lot of things happened to him.

Like Minghao had a very cute outer look/ personality when they debuted but the more he grew up and He found his style.. He became as you said a S*x God!
