How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a TH-cam channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

Ryan the best farmer on TH-cam he might not have as many subscribe as other but he makes sure the video is high quality unlike the others do
It shows why I prefer the the square bales over the round ones. Where they got 10 on that trailer with the large square bales they could have had 24 bales per load. At a similar or even higher weight per bale.

Those opening drone shots are what make me question the people who think cities are the best place to live. Nice to hear your opinions on the KUHN vs the JD and the reasoning behind why you felt that way. You're honest with your viewers and thats what I's appreciates about you. Great video as always Ryan! As crappy as winter can get, we do live in the best state for winter beauty. We get the four seasons and enjoy summer so much more then people in warmer climates. Great Video as always Ryan.
We bale cow peas, millet, edges of the wheat fields, and when needed we’ll bale crab grass. I would like to sell some one year but there isn’t much auction places. This year we didn’t really get no rain but we were lucky. We got 2x as much hay then needed. Cause that makes sense 😂

Beautiful where you live. I'm in Southern California where it's been in the mid 70s* daily. It's seems unusually warm. Trees are budding. Take care of yourselves.

Ryan you should keep your eyes open for a flatbed semi trailer. We picked up a Morton Bldg 45' trailer for 2500.00 on auction back in the 80's and when we planted 160 acres to alfalfa the trailer came in handy for hauling baked of all sorts, hay,straw, grass hay etc.

Those bottom bale that sit on the floor when you stack them is killing your price lay plastic down or put on pallets

So Ryan, that little jab you slipped in at the end about having to put up some trim work, does that mean we will get to see a video sometime soon with you doing some carpentry work on your home? Maybe you can even get Hanna to give you a hand,,,,,,,,, But then you guys wouldn't get very much done what with all the goofing around that the two of you will most likely door someone might get shot with a nailer.
