- hey all!
it’s the long awaited STATS and REACTIONS video! thank you so much for the love and support on the previous video. i really appreciated everyone’s kind words because i know college decisions are a tough time for a lot of people. in this video, i decided to share my joy with my close friends and my beloved teachers!
for general context, i had this video recorded and edited all the way back in december. i just recently added the stats portion because of the high demand for it! i didn’t yet feel comfortable with announcing my acceptance back in december publicly (until the last video, obviously) so here it is now. everyone who i recorded knew they were being recorded, but if anything arises, i will be immediately taking this video down. please respect everyone in this video!
i’m answering this question in the description rather than in the video, but i think it’s important to explain why i ultimately decided on attending yale. at the time of recording this video, yale was my top choice, but i was still hesitant about committing because i had yet to visit the school and i was unsure about some of their programs. also, because of the delays in fafsa, my financial aid was not yet confirmed (in the video, i told my teachers that i had received a full ride, but after my fafsa was processed, it shifted a few things). i had a lot of comments criticizing my choice to not withdraw my other applications after getting admitted early action, so i felt the need to clear the confusion. committing to a school is so much more than just getting into the “best school”!
