Just saw an interview with Sam where he said he wanted to start doing more of a melody with the bass and play the opposite of what Jake was doing. Very smart man!
He doesn't flip to falsetto = the magic of Josh is that he has a great 'head' voice. He has such a superior vocal control with pitch and breath control. Because he has an amazing control of his voice he is actually able to do all of what he does just using head voice.
I have watched a few of your reaction videos, mostly GVF cuz I'm a huge fan of them. But I wanted to say I really appreciate that you point out the simple or little things in the songs that stand out to you. It helps me notice things I haven't noticed before even though I listen to these songs so much.

sam has said he’s really inspired by the Bass style of Motown. Having growing up in Michigan near Detroit as well i can feel that and love that he kills it
My favourite song on their first album and I just loooove Sam and his bass😁 I'm so sad they've taken out live version of Trip the light fantastic, because he was amazing there😪
