@@eunsie It's been pretty heavily foreshadowed that Paimon will end up being an enemy. Her name derives from the name of a demon which goes in line with all the archons being named after demons. And there's been a bunch of "oh hey traveler say hypothetically paimon ended up stabbing you in the back wouldn't that be crazy?" dialogue in the story
