@@StrongandGrand I never excelled with Payroll or Dora for whatever reason. I relied on sharpshooters and Sally basically. I beat Elite mode that way. Good memories.
@@MagicTurtle643 I loved Payroll and Dora on the team. Treasure seeking + high movement = quick clears for farming. As for boss fights, that's a different story.
So excited. This looks like the sequel we've been hoping for: keep the core mechanics that we already loved, bump up the visuals, give us new characters and new locations, and add some depth to the upgrade systems to keep us coming back for more. Bravo!
Words cannot describe how hyped I am for this. Been playing all the Steamworld Games since Heist 2's reveal. Heist was my first Steamworld Game though back in the 3DS days!
So now that we have confirmation that the blue guys are the Royal Navy, are they essentially an independent faction now that the Queen is dead, or did they get a new heir? Would be cool to see how the first game plays into this one, give how the first game’s theme briefly plays in this video
You're going to be able to make some insane builds in this I can't wait. Imagine a flanker who can use heavy weapons... Curious about how Vectron plays into this, we've seen their weapons in footage already
I'm assuming that we have to goto certain places on the map. Like the trailer said at around 03:57 Ratlers towards the north, meaning either we start off at East, West, or South, and we have 4 areas to go around to and complete, or we get 3 like last game. And we start off in the South, East, or West.
I haven't been this hyped for as hyped for a game as I am now for a long while. Only real points of "concern" I see are that the "ragdolls" of scrapped bots don't seem to go flying all over the place, which was something I always found to be endlessly satisfying, and the fact that the new job system might end up taking away some of the identity of the new characters. Other than that I wish it was already in my hands so bad, and I'm honestly probably going to be buying it on multiple systems like I have with every other entry so far.
I saw Rabbit in the bar! My biggest concern was not seeing SPG back in the sequel. Heist 1 introduced me to the band and I can't express how happy I am that you brought back to Steamworld!
I just came to comment that i'm hiding and not watching any of the trailers for heist 2. And the reason for this is i'm already looking forward to it and i want to play it as pure as possible. Just wanted you to know :)
Looks great! You can already see how you may want AoE weapons for some encounters or high powered precision weapons for others. I love this studio, can't wait!
Level design was not mentioned but it looks like there will be more variety tha in the first one which is very good :). I really liked the first one and I can't wait to play this as well.
Gameplay showed us Gunplay Job system (brawler engineer boomer sniper reaper frankler) Cogs system Enemies and a slight of the lore (You can make a combo with the job system)
This sounds terrific! It will be exciting to create more versatile characters. …no hint of there being any PvP/Vs mode, though, sadly. Still holding out hope for that…
Actually you're right. In some frames (not in this video) we can see cap. Leeway with a second arm. I think Leeway would be playable at any point of the game and I think would've been cool if some character perks could've only unlocked through story progression, like in SWQ
I love this! Daisy is my main, she's adorable. Can you call her Margarita in the spanish version? Bro Steammates! That word is genius. This is a day 1 purchase.
Do you still have to escape at the end of each level because an endless amount of enemies spawn? That is what pushed me away from the first Steamworld Heist.
What I like from this showcase is the dev finally gave proper, easy-to-understand job names. I mean, SH1 has "Vanguard", "Bounty Hunter", "Flanker", what do they even mean??? And then, what I don't like from the first game is how you've progressed through the game far enough, and then find an absolutely OP new crew, but you had to level them up first before they can be useful. Such. A waste. Of time.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Polished and fun turn-based strategy with an excellent story. My only complaint is that the beginning gives off a bad impression. Poor intro narration (English) and limited gameplay as the story first takes off. Anyone who plays for 15 minutes may decide to return it, but they are really missing out if they do. Give it at least an hour or two. There are many many great improvements from the last game, including tactics, gunplay, abilities, and multiple stages of story to keep you engaged for 20+ hours. It is well worth the price. A fun game from one of the few developers left that make quality titles without the pay-to-play shenanigans. 10/10
Ooooo yes, only the trailer and ign overview have info on the game Does whoever is running the channel know when the trailer song will be out, Spg said it would be some time before aug

it's literally just classes.. and yes, i'd say every single rpg should have classes. you're complaining that theres depth to developing your characters? maybe RPGs aren't for you.
I don't think Build sales were great, so you're probably not alone. I tried it for a few hours and kept waiting for the fun to arrive. Gave up in frustration after getting stuck in endless menus, confusing controls, and feeling utterly lost.
I enjoyed Heist for a while, but got sick of hearing the same music track every time a battle started. Every single time. That's the main reason I stopped playing. I also find that procedurally-generated levels made my achievements a bit meaningless. If the level is too hard, just keep trying until you get an easier RNG level 🤷 And if you had a particularly hard level that you finally pulled off or used some unique skills for, you can't share that with anyone else who plays, since their version of the same level would've been different 😕 Makes for a rather lonely one-sided experience. I'm still open-minded about this sequel though, so we'll see.
Well, I don't know, it seems degenerative to me that the sequel takes place in a more regressive setting (i.e. not in space). I had actually been looking forward to a sequel for many years and then such a disappointment is announced.
@@thomaswittkowski8316 there is no team from the first part, the actions take place not in space but on a piece of land on which there is an ocean in which carobs swim, for now that’s all that worries me, I also waited a very long time for the continuation and it turned out to be not what I expected to see, maybe I I'll change my mind when I play it P.S. if anything my english is very bad so i translated through google translator
Loved the first game but found the weapon balance off. Turn-based combat favours mobility, judicious positioning, and efficient use of actions, yet some heavy weapons- like miniguns and certain grenade launchers- could not be fired if you moved, making them borderline useless (you don’t frequently start encounters in line of sight, so you have to reposition. Then you have to wait until the next turn to fire, which is terrible action economy). Some sniper weapons had the same limitation but could compensate to some extent through their laser sights, allowing you to make trick shots more easily. Both types of weapons were outclassed by guns that could be fired post-movement. Hopefully, the heavy weapons have been rebalanced to be more useful in the sequel.
So the reaper class is Sally. THAT'S WHAT I WANT.
