Its not really reliable for such a delicate situation such as this. But this is just cope i guess.
So lets get logical, the peak of his demon mode seen thus far could barely keep up with a weak holy knight enhanced Helbram, who only won because of a slight amp from Hendrickson.
Although he wasnt concious for what we know during this, so i wont act like meliodas is using this fight as a reference,
but i do think that meliodas is aware of the limits of this power and others powers, more so than what was shown to us.
He probably considered how useful it might be against a demon enhanced grand master in that specific moment, and considering its unreliability on top of its lackluster power amp
It makes logical sense for this power up to be considered a risk, not a flat out advantage

Yeah, he knows he can't fully control the demon mode and doesn't want to potentially hurt Elizabeth while using it, that's why he didn't pull it out when Elizabeth was about to leave with Hendrickson, but did pull it out for Ban with Elizabeth not being too nearby
@@arielcausey909 Let me explain why to you, because you cant even figure it out for yourself. This is a taxing power, we have seen that meliodas can maintain control of himself so long as he doesnt use too much of it. But again brother, let me state the obvious, its EXTREMELY draining and taxing for him to use, we can see this with how much strain its putting on him to use.
So as a method of fighting a life or death fight, its simply not worth the amp. But when ban showed up, open those eyes now, he needed to recconect his arm, remember, because it has been cut off. This action is FAR less of a risk when doing so in front of ban, he knows ban, despite the situation. He also turns it off not long after and defuses the situation with words, because he knew he had the potential to do so, this is not something he has the luxury of doing with hendy.
Hope this helps, try think more when moments like this occur.

At this point in the show Yes , but SPOILER
last season King is like 400k+ power level , Ban is like 700k+ , Escanor without is "Ultimate form" is VERY strong like 95% of the show would die if fought him , but weaker than this two , obviously with the Ultimate Escanor is probably on par with Ban or even stronger and only lose against Meliodas full power and Arthur Chaos .
Merlin is a weird character to rank , like in my opinion she never use her power at maximum , and how much she knew from the world and all magic is a mistery but i think she is maybe stronger than King but weaker than Ban , i guess ?! Even so magic like Chrono Coffin are OP
