  • This magnificent Zuisho White Pine Bonsai was originally imported to the US from Japan in the early 1980s. Watch as Bjorn Bjorholm from Eisei-en Bonsai Garden rebuilds the branch structure through detail wiring. This episode was filmed with 1970s era Contax Zeiss lenses and the Sony FX3.

I've noticed the way Bjorn delicately and evenly rotates his Bonsai's with his finger tips to display all it's sides. Never rushed or hurried and gentle hand to hand movements. I learn so much just watching him.

The working process is as important as the bonsai itself.

Wow. That is quite a nice tree the time spent was well worth it. The end result is beutiful. It has wonderfully small foliage I love it. It must be nice to get to work with trees at that level. I wouldn't want to give it back though. Thanks.
