There was an extension cord right in the middle of where BSU was running out on the field and it was being pulled. I think that probably tripped him. I saw a couple of other players jumping over it.
Pac needs at least tow more really good football schools if they want to really have an impact. Maybe one of the Big 12 schools gets dissatisfied or they can snag a couple ACC schools if they fall apart. Hope they can re build.
With the new teams going to the pac 3 of them are projected to be in the tournament and obviously Memphis is if they could land them, that’s on par (bid wise) with the big east those payouts would really help
To be the No.1 in viewership of the season is a huge win when you think about it. better than the Power 4 conf championship games, the 1st round of the CFP when you had Ohio st vs Tenn even though it was over by half time, texas vs clemson. Definitely want to see what kind of media deal they can pull off hoping for good one so they can really get the league going strong.
Historical, the Sugar Bowl was played on NYE and considered equal in status to the Rose and Orange Bowls. So why wouldn't a NYE Fiesta Bowl be in the same status category?
That hands to the face was properly called, but my issue is that there were multiple drive ending and drive continuing calls in favor of Penn state. Boise could have won that football game. 24-14 Inside the 10 three times. 24-14 inside the 10 that hands to the face call is simply a misplacement of the offensive line's hands. IT HAD ZERO EFFECT on the play itself. I hate that they called that in that scenario. That SHOULD HAVE been a makeup call for the blatant false start by Penn state on a scoring drive and a blatant offensive pass interference that wasn't called. Also, Penn State was getting beat inside and their offensive linemen were shoving Boise States defensive line in the back every time they got near Allar. It is a technique taught specifically at Penn State because the average IQ (Referee and fan) person will not detect this behavior even in replay. When you get beat you push at about 60% power straight in the back with one shove and quickly let go to make it appear like nothing was done. However this sends a guy who is in a full sprint flying past their QB. Drew takes off up the middle as the Offensive linemen lightly push "above the waist in the back" -Definition of a block in the back and a hold. If you are going to kill drives and not make up penalties from previous egregious "no calls" then you must call the penalties both ways at the same rate. THIS WAS NOT DONE. Boise Could have won this game and Don't be fooled by the rushing yards. Boise intentionally runs a bend don't break defense. They give up lots of yards and wait for you to make a mistake. Penn State was in those 3rd and longs and got bailed out by penalties. Boise would win the rematch 100%. Sadly won't get to see it. There were clear MAJOR calls against Arizona State and Boise State that hurt the outcome of the game. Arizona State should have had an opportunity to drive the ball 20 yards and win in regulation. The fact that Both Boise State and Arizona State both got screwed on similar penalties isn't a conspiracy. it's a Fact. In my opinion it's cheating.
Boise pulled so many penalties right in front of refs! The holding on Penn State's defenders was an absolute joke! It was "holding" Boise was TACKLING defenders!! If refs were honest Boise would ended with downs like First and 50! from just their penalties
I wonder what the chances are that Cal and Stanford might rejoin the new Pac-12? What the hurdles might be for that happening? They really don't belong in the ACC.
Boise had 3....2 of those were against UNLV...obvious why Jeanty had so many rushing yards. Did you see how many times Penn State defenders picked him off the ground?!! How's is Jeanty going to keep running after contact when his feet don't touch the ground? LOL ONLY once the announcers bragged about Jeanty continuing to run after being TOUCHED by 6 Penn State defenders...until he ran the for his total 12 year and into a Penn State Safety that dropped him like a leaf.
The mid section of college football is large. The PAC 7 and MW are both in that mid section. The PAC may be a bit better but neither conference is keeping up with the top. It’s just not possible money wise. Currently there is no salary cap and NIL collectives are buying their teams. The last four teams in the current playoff are the teams that have spent the most money.
@@AztecsWrapUpShow totally agree John. Hopefully the PAC and the top AAC schools can come back to the negotiating table, that would be the icing on the cake if they could make that happen and strike a deal good for all.
@@arecizzle Quality over quantity'. The Pac still has time to find their 8th all-sport school. From what I've been reading/hearing, expect that to happen soon after the TV deal is announced sometime this spring.
The only reason that game got a lot of ratings is because it was a playoff game. If it was a regular season game I don’t think it would’ve had as much viewers. In my opinion
Hats off to Boise, hell of season.
Let’s go Aztecs!!!
SDSU 💪
Magical season for Boise State. Hoping all new PAC teams kick ass next year.
Me too, because I think if they can't get anyone new to add before next season, it will come down to how the teams play to get new pac 12 members
Boise State is Americas college team
No
Community college
Its smurfs team
Not a god damn chance in blue hell

The AAC had four teams ranked at different points in the season. Memphis, Tulane, Army, and Navy.

I think Stanford and Cal need to come back. It makes no sense for them to be in the ACC. That's the Atlantic Coast Conference
My bronco’s totally could have won that game, but still here’s to hoping all PAC teams destroy MW conference play next year like they should be doing
drugs are bad for you...STOP IT!...get some help
Lol just lol, I can't wait for the PAC to prove how mediocre they are in the coming years.

every team that got the buy lost . 3 1/2 weeks off is not good for football
What did they buy? I know some teams received byes.
The high ratings were largely because so many fans had not seen Ashton Jeanty play yet. He didn't have the exposure other Heisman contenders had had.
Jeanty would NOT even been close to any record, except maybe Boise's if he had played in the P2

Should be, Gary!

@josephcernansky1794 that's funny stuff not realistic but funny
JEANTY HAD THE HAMMER!
and he smacked HIMSELF on the head with it.
This is the same experience as sitting next to a couple of uncles talking about shit they know a little bit about.
lol no one has covered more realignment over the last five years than I have.
I wonder what the chances are that Cal and Stanford might rejoin the new Pac-12? What the hurdles might be for that happening? They really don't belong in the ACC.
Yeah, the Pac and MWC need to merge and pro reg.
"Great news for the PAC -12" ?
I don't get it but I did watch the video.

Who is the 8th pac 12 team for it be a conference?
Stay tuned.
My money is on Texas State to be the first to get an invite and then they will try again at the AAC teams.
Whoever it is, it will just be the MW 2.0.

The most powerful G5 conference would be if there is a merge between the pac 12 and mwc. 😅
