    This is a great and very informative video!! I'm going to tie my slip cork just like this.... a lot of other fishermen like to have a swivel or a splitshot between the cork and the jig - I think that's why I haven't been catching any crappie!!

    The leader has zero stretch to it th-cam.com/users/postUgkxOnWw4BwVtrW450xWozo3OpVX4931NDw5 which is expected from a wire leader. Can’t test the quality of all the snaps yet but packaging was nice and neat and I couldn’t get anything to happen when I pulled on it.

    Thank you so much for posting this video! I’ve always heard about the slip bobber and I’ve tried it a couple of times but I didn’t particularly care for it. Now that I’ve seen it in action with those underwater shots and actually know how to use it thanks to you I believe it’s gonna get me out of my post spring spawn slump!

    How much line of the 8lb line do you tie to your maine line and how do you tie together to still be able to use the slip bobber stop

      Usually about 10-feet, depending on the depth I’m fishing. Thanks for watching!

    20 lb line for crappies?

    • @Hooknlook
      @Hooknlook  ปีที่แล้ว

      Only the main line. The fluorocarbon leader is lighter.

    Any bobber works , any leader material works,

    Will bluegill bite on these as well? Bluegill are also good eatin so it’d be nice to kill two birds with one stone

    • @Hooknlook

      Bluegills will do more nipping at it than gulping it. Crappies inhale it! I prefer small ice jigs tipped with a wax worm for gills.

    Am I the only one that doesn’t get why his bobber is upside down

      It's the way those bobber are designed. They're weighted for casting a country mile fishing in the wind. The wobble bobber gives the perfect action to your jigs
