It kills me to see the KoP nowadays. It used to be a great boozer serving proper beer. Now, like all of Fowey it’s a fancy restaurant for the second home brigade. You don’t even hear a Cornish accent there any more. A beautiful part of the world but the last 35 years have not been kind to the town or Cornwall as a whole.
I really like The King Of Prussia , no it’s not grand or fancy, but it is in such a perfect position, lots of places to eat in the evening, and a proper job Cornish welcome.
