Big respect Tom. Been around watching you along time just kind of observing not getting involved too much but big respect for this boss man.
Thank you bro
Mate, you are genuinely inspirational. Great great video!
❤️
Been watching u since lockdown 1 mate always been class. U and Matt Sheldon have gave me loads of training ideas of the years. Cheers mate
Can’t believe only seeing this now broke me to see it your work rate was unlike no other in America and you deserved to be treated better massive respect for you u my boy ❤
The work rate is back bro, appreciate the comment though
This takes a lot of balls to post. Massive respect for you man. I have had to learn these lessons the hard way, and I'm glad you're talking about it to potentially help younger kids who struggle with finding balance and who only play football for their only sense of happiness. This needed to be said and you nailed it on the head. Well done man ❤
Thank you bro, appreciate it. Nobody has perfect mental health and mainly you’ll learn from experience but if you can avoid making some big mistakes from something you learnt, maybe you’ll end up somewhere better.
Hey Tom, really interesting to hear a recap of what you have been going through over the past few years. I have been following you since February 2020 and have always admired your ability to work hard, and also adapt to situations as life goes on. I can relate with what you went through and are still going through as I trained for years and did everything in my power to become a pro footballer, but have been getting pain nonstop the past 2 years. Relentless rehab never helped, and I was diagnosed with hip impingment a few months ago, which is a anatomy structural problem where bones are hitting each other causing pain. This has really affected my mental and emotional health, and have been forced to take a long break from football. Your tips are really going to help me. Hope you have a speedy knee recovery man!
Hey bro, hope your recovery goes well. Wish you the best of luck
Big respect for talking about this
Love bro
Keep it up Tom my son. Always here if you need a chat. Speedy recovery bro get back on that pitch soon ❤
Thank you lad, appreciate it
Rule #1: Always focus on the positives and what you have bc you are very fortunate that you dont have to struggle like other people in poorer places or countries
Rule #2: Never put football, or anything, above your love for God and yourself
100% bro
Good video brother💪🏼
Thank you man, I appreciate it
Hi Tom I hope you are Okay
Hey John, all good thanks lad
@@TomAllenFootball that's good to hear Tom
Hey bro, I am currently dealing with something similar. I went abroad to play pro football and I can't seem to perform because of my head. It's effecting me in life and it's just getting worse every session. I feel humiliated and embarrassed to play and just feel like I am starting to hate football cause I can't even make a simple pass. Any advice on what I should do based on ur experience? Thx, huge respect to u 🫡
What I want to know is why do you play football? What makes you enjoy it. Go out to training and do those things, even if at first you make the mistakes doing them, just do it. Don’t care what people think and play football the way you love
Never too late, especially at your age. Read Aajonus Vonderplanitz book - We Want To Live. Eat like that for a year and you'll be healthy again. Your body is designed to heal, fully.
I think football clubs have no regard for mental health, Carlisle United take kids at 9yrs of age and there training facility is a poor and I mean very poor school Astro turf , how on earth can this produce footballers when the environment is PiS# poor, if pro clubs want players to strive then spend on facilities and make it like a family so if you are released they make sure your still looked after , you have someone to talk to, does his happen , absolutely not, you get an email or call to say your released , PIS# poor , these kids give up there childhoods usually because there parent wants to live there dream through there child.
Let kids be kids and start the football journey at 12/13 not when your a child
9 years old is very very young
