Nora,I’m NOT on birth control and had similar symptoms when it comes to the menstruation.Spotting,pms symptoms and days that almost felt life period 2 weeks into my starter kit.I too started with motivation,but continued with logic.I’m now about to start energy and finish off with clarity.Motivation kind of worked,but logic was weird.I hope I’ll get some energy next week.

I took Thesis Nootropics, I really liked motivation and creativity. I always found myself working more when on those supplements. I have tried so many products and thesis has helped me. I only tried the trial but we shall see how it works when my second order comes in.

I really appreciated this review focusing on sexism in the brain supplement industry, and that sneaky caffiene pill! (FWIW when I ordered my starter box it's easy to opt out of caffiene now). I don't take BC but I do take hormone altering meds every week and I will definitely keep an eye out for if the blends are impacting my sleep or hormonal issues. I wouldn't have even thought to track hormones! Clarity was like a revelation for my husband, who tried it as a stopgap for his ADHD while we find a psychiatrist, and I was so impressed I ordered my own personal box. Thanks again for the most useful review I've found of the individual blends so far.
Oh, and there's very little research about it, but given some other products on the market, I wouldn't be surprised if the testosterone boosting effects of a lot of nootropic stacks was what messed up your BC. Formulating stacks that are clear about the impact on hormone cycles is definitely an important consideration.
Did you end up asking a pharmacist? I’m getting my PharmD right now and we are the drugs masters :) I’m going to look into the individual ingredients with the databases provided to me as a pharmacy student.
Does it have the same affect if it’s an IUD birthcontrol I experience the same thing and for me clarity & creativity and logic worked best for me but I would have the same issue of insomnia or I’ll be in my head overthinking when I’m not taking anything .

If you are having painful periods please also look out for other symptoms like: pain between periods (even a little bit!), chronic fatigue, headaches, iron deficiency, lots of bleeding and clotting, because they are signs of endo. I had these symptoms but they were considered normal by all my doctors and it turned out I actually had stage 4 endo, that went undetected for over a decade because my pain was mild and so considered “normal”. Pain is not normal, please take care ❤
