You always inspire me. No wet areas here on my sandy piney little hill, but you give us design info and plant info that can be applied in many different spaces. I also like how you are not afraid to use plants that don't look primo right now. The healthy roots and plant genetics are what matter. Thanks, as always, for taking us along for the journey!! Looking forward to seeing this area develop 🥰
Thanks so much!
Another beautiful garden bed designed by Miss Jenny!
Another great inspiration! Good morning everyone!
Thank you❣️
Always fun to see a new garden bed take shape. Thank you for sharing your thought process on choice of plants and layout.
Another beautiful garden bed at Creekside , you always give us inspiration! Hi Mimi, she’s so special to me! Miss my mom, enjoy ❤❤
It’s looking good. Always exciting to see a new garden space.
LOL, my dogs know "out of the bed" also!! 🙌
Your projects are always filled with great ideas 💚
This will be just beautiful! Thank you for taking us along!
Bog garden sounds great! Look forward to your plans. 🤔
Good morning, Jenny☕️I love all the plants you cose. So much color and texture, going to be a stunning garden bed! I love the Asian Water Bowl. It’s so nice to actually see it 😝😂 Have fun planting and, have a Blessed Day 😊🐶
Yes the sweet potato vines got so beastly 😂. And I had pruned them hard multiple times this summer!
Always a pleasure Jenny to see you shine in your element 😊
Thank you❣️
Good Morning GWC Family! 😊
Good morning!
Loving the elongated spinner!!!!! Your gardens always turn out great!!!!
Just noticed sweet Brenna!!!
Proven Winners is the reason I can push the limits. 6b Connecticut. I have all shade in my 30 year old back garden, but now I can grow some annual flowers and reblooming perennial hydrangeas.
I consider my hostas as place holders for these new products. I’m moving the replacement hostas slowly to the ‘back 40’.
Good morning Jenny 🌺. Wow .What a bretty and amazing plants , they are going to be amazing in this garden . Have a great day .🌺🌻🌺
Good Morning Jenny. Looking forward to seeing this new bed, both in person and on-line!
It’s going to be amazing Jenny ❤ I have pulmonaria, dark side of the moon, & the painted Japanese fern in my very shaded backyard & I love them 🙂 I was kind of geeking out thinking Jenny! I have all of those, too! I did okay! 😂
Sounds like you’re doing great❣️
Ooohhhh boy…. I think I’m inspired… hmm😂😂… lungwort and little hydrangeas being added at LEAST!!!… thanx, I think…?…😮😂😂😂. You’re dangerous to be around! But truly, Thnx Jenny!
So many ideas came from good thinking on your parts Jenny,CeCe, & Me Me for a new garden. Always a good feeling when you accomplish what you set out to do. Now for the plantings and to keep all thriving well bit your confidence shines through!
The new garden will be so pretty
I really needed this video! I’ve been at a loss as to what to plant in my heavy clay wet bed. This was very helpful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
All great choices!! Can’t wait to see the new spigelias!!
I would love to see your garden during one of those rain storms you always get! Especially the dry creek bed and how it does. I want to create one of those. I have a million rocks!!
Yes! 🎉 I’ve been wanting to see how you do these wet areas. I have a couple of areas that stay wet and I’ve lost plants to all the moisture.
Love your videos! So glad that I stumbled upon one of your videos!!
Thanks so much, Jenny! I learned sooo much!❣
Good morning! ❤ Great ideas, as always! Now I want to go plant shopping 🛍 🪴 😅
So excited! I’ve been waiting for this video! Thank you for sharing! I have a similar area!
This is going to be gorgeous ❤
Nice property beautiful gardens. I hope you sell out I still need to get something for my 2 cement baskets lol. Your property reminds me when I used to go to camp when I was a kid lol
I love all your garden projects!! Quick question- when you plant a tree in a pot, what is used for soil? Native soil, potting soil, a mixture of both or is there a special blend of bagged soil to use?? I love the looks of that garden pot! Everything is just beautiful!
Always potting soil! I never use native soil in my containers due to our thick red clay. 90% of the time I use the Proven Winners potting soil (it’s my favorite), but in cases of really BIG containers I will use our professional potting mix bc it is more economical.
Just lovely! Here in arid south central Texas, I am so jealous of all the natural water you have there.
Iron weed is beautiful and perfect to plant with joe pie weed. We do in michigan
I’m sure that you have replaced the grass by now, but the brown paths create a wonderful CONTRAST in the Signature Garden! Mulch paths would also be lovely!
Great video. I look forward to watching the area mature.
It will look wonderful, just give it a little time .I definitely don’t have any wet areas, but sometimes you just need to experiment with a plant 🌿🍃
Very true!
Beautiful!
Beautiful design ❤
Thank you so much 😊
Thanks Jenny, Cece and Mimi, I am working on an area that has a vernal creek in the spring. I have some of the plants mentioned. This helps me to know where the plants will do best for the water conditions.
Thank you for your inspiration. We may be moving and starting a new shade garden - new for me!! But that spiderwart - so awfully invasive here in Florida Took mine out two years ago and it's still popping up!
Good morning Jenny. Have a wonderful Saturday!
Thank you! You too!
So what your saying is Mr Poppins is a little stud 😂😂
Yep! He’s here for only 1 reason 💞
Wow, it's going to be beautiful. Another great informative vedio.
I can't wait to see this next year in full bloom. It will be beautiful. What type of grass seed do you use on your property?
We have a fescue blend
Winter berry is my fav too . Needs sun too so the winterberry in my front shade garden will also be moved to the back 40.
It’s going to look amazing ❤
Oooh, I didn't know Proven Winners had Orange Slices Spigelia. But, I couldn't find it while doing an internet search. Is it coming out next year? I always enjoy watching your gardening projects and learn a lot. Thank you!
Yes, it is coming onto the market next year I believe
Gr8 8deas. Thx
Good morning!! Oh my gosh I’ve been looking for a source for that elongated, non color spinner! Can you share? Thank you!
Hey Jenny, looking forward to planting hydrangeas this fall. What would you recommend? I’m also zone 8a. I’m mostly full sun and I love pink! And I would like a hydrangea that blooms on new wood!
I have been waiting for this video! You can put hydrangeas in bog garden?
The spot I put them in is a bit higher and therefore drains well. I wouldn’t advise putting them in consistently damp soil like the Joe Pye weed
@@GardeningwithCreekside thank you for the info. I got excited there for a second.
❤
I think Brenna was moonwalking 😅😊❤
Nothing on our property is wet right now. It’s so dry. We haven’t had more than a 1/8” in over a month 😢 even the weeds are dying.
Where are the ferns
Why do all of the plants I want need conditions I don’t have? 😩
Noah’s flood was started with rain, but some speculate the water in the earth rose up and started the deep deadly flooding.
🙋
Wow give dog a good rope toy a rock not good for teeth lol. Wow garden hood I like huge ferns
😂 Jenny, you know I love you and your channel ❤️.
But sugar doodles, some days you have what my daddy would call diarrhea of the mouth 😂😂.
Please 🙏 don't ever change! ❤😊
I'm just glad I'm not the only one that has a case flair up on them. Hahaha 😆 😆 😆
The thing you did not mention about the Brandywine viburnum when talking about the white flowers and pollinators is they SMELL BAD. The pollinators they are meant to attract are flies and the flowers smell like dead animals. Yes the berries are pretty but standing next to one that is taller than you are is not a pleasant experience due to the odor.
Mr. Poppins will not be the male for ANY winterberry. The reason there are specific males mentioned and sold with specific females is they do not all bloom at the same time. If your male is busy blooming but your female hasn't opened her buds yet you will get zero berries. The same is true if your female is in flower but the male near her is not yet in flower. There are lists upon lists of when various winterberries bloom and just because some are SUPPOSED to work, does not mean they will every year. I have watched mine, varieties said to work together, bloom almost a week apart
and some years I have no berries.
Interesting about the Brandywine. I have grown it for years at the house and have never noticed an unpleasant smell. As a slight correction, Mr. Poppins will pollinate any Proven Winners winterberry (as per their website).
Shouldn't let your dog carry rocks it ruins their teeth. We learned thru experience.
Girl you talk so much puts me to sleep L O L just get to it
How would you prefer me to explain/teach the plants that thrive in moist areas?
