One of the main ingredients in that foundation is ethylhexyl palmitate which I find to be highly comedogenic for my acne prone skin. I can’t use anything with that ingredient without breaking out. Just something to take note of if you have acne prone skin!!
@@CallieBahlsI don’t know about the original formulation. The current one doesn’t, but it has a ton of silicones - most people do fine with silicone but I’m sensitive to it. I check the ingredients on all my cosmetics on a website (Cosdna is one) to make sure they aren’t comedogenic.
You know what sucks? This is the perfect foundation I've found in my shade, and it covers my hyperpigmentation/dark spots. The finish is perfection! This is coming from someone who HATES using foundations. That said, this is the first foundation that has ever broken me out. It's nothing dramatic, just a pimple on my nose, but I NEVER get acne/pimples. I will double down on the OG comment, I believe this product should not be used on acne-prone skin.
If you got large pores and oily skin, i couldnt make any foundation work without the ultimate priming routine 😂 I use a tone up spf from Tir Tir, then One Size new matifying primer (also Dannessa Myricks works just as good), and then Tarte pore filling primer (erases my texture and makes my pores disappear!) I also use a powder puff to set my face (kim chi powder is amazing for oily skin!) After i bake my entire face, i set with the One Size setting spray. My main requirement for foundation is medium to full coverage and the formula has to be super light weight. The best i ever tried was Chanel, Pat McGrath, and Lisa Eldridge. Those are my HG foundations. I still need to blot like once or twice but my makeup doesnt get cakey or come off and i wear it 8+ hours 😅 im definitely gonna try this because the formula is thin.
It reminds me of NARS Soft Matte Foundation which to me a true to life filter foundation. I have oily skin and that foundation just makes me so flawless its unreal :) Thank you for your review Maryam!
@@MaryamMaquillage Give it a whirl again, would be nice dear if you can do a comparison video about all blurring foundations in the market for oily gals :) xo

Oh how I’ve been waiting for this review from you Maryam!!! I’ve been really excited about this launch ❤ and everything that it claims is what I look for! Was the primer pink? I wonder if it’s the Glowish Beauty Blur Jam primer but now in a new component? It’s definitely blurring and natural a finish! It’s so interesting how you build up the coverage and it looks even more blurred, what in the magic 🪄 is this?! I’m here for it! I think it looks absolutely flawless on you Girlie! I think the iPhone footage wasn’t a fair representation I could see the light reflecting off of your skin which made it look off, like you were saying! Now I’m a little concerned that you did get a pimple after wearing it and it doesn’t hold up well with oils coming through! I wonder how you will like it in the winter? Thanks Maryam! Great review! I hope you, your sister and Lee aka The Swatch Model had a wonderful time together! Have a great rest of your weekend ❤☺️
Unfortunately I got many bumps like that the day after - all over my forehead and around my jawline. I’m not sure if it’s the product or the humidity + the 10 hour wear test… but it’s a bummer

Is it me or is this new launch almost identical to the Bare with me BLUR tint foundation by Nyx? The packaging and even the BLUR aspect are so similar. I'd have to try this out to see if it's similar in formulation too.
I haven't tried the Nyx one because I had the perception that it has a flat matte formula and orange shades, both of which I cannot stand. But Huda would make better shades for brown people and this foundation isn't supported to have a flat matte finish.
Wow this looks great on you! I can't wait to try it out. By the way, can you do a video on your favorite/most used makeup brushes, sponges, etc. (which one did you use for the BM powder)? I love seeing those fluffy brushes and I'm looking to invest in a few.

I love Huda beauty products but I’m skeptical about trying the foundation because even though it says it’s non comedogenic, the 4th ingredient is ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE which is known to cause breakouts, that’s possibly why you broke out straight away😩

Maybe. But I did mention that I wasn’t sure what caused it, the foundation, the long wear test or the humidity, FYI. Also, I broke out in tiny bumps all over my forehead (which I never do) and my jawline. Still dealing with it unfortunately.
I know, 😊 but your exact words were "they were not there before" when clearly they were. It might have been the primer you're reacting to as well or maybe, in rare cases, the makeup brush. That's the problem when you test out more than one product at once. You can't truly identify what the cause is unless you test each product on different days. I guess that's the risk you take when being a beauty influencer or the risk we all take when trying a new product.
@@crimenexdorthe point is they were not there as they appeared at the end of the day, and most certainly not the next day. I’m going to blame it on humidity, we had 4-5 awfully humid days here when this was filmed and that’s the only time my forehead breaks out
