I don't think that the "experts" themselves really understood what DH are. In Germany, DH is also a kind of trend now but the only serious people I met speaking about it are people with a STEM- or CS-degree working in a DH-department for some reason. In a DH department you are not even supposed to learn coding properly or to learn math, statistics and so on (at least in Germany). In my opinion, DH could be a good idea but, for now, the experiment failed completely.
When you introduce someone, ask them before the presentation how to pronounce their name. It's just nice to look like you care rather than having it come off as an afterthought :)
I have just started to research about the field of digital humanities and I popped up with a question that by providing people who live in developing countries to learn about digital humanities , would we able to deal with a polarization of knowledge and wealth between developed and developing countries! what is your opinion about this question? Thank you~
