Hello sir , May I know why you dint project all the curve initially , later you created a circle and trimmed the unwanted curve, instead initially you could have projected the curves right !
if we can get complete curve its better to project as you said.. but most of the case in projecting there will be always splines.. you need to convert them to arc and lines at the end this is the reason i have done so

Hi.. it depends on what kind of output company needs.. in some companies the parametric model will be used for future for any modifications.. in some cases they just need a model to make analysis during analysis it's not required to constrain sketch

How to remove the dependencies from parent sketches
During project keep associative off.. then you dont have dependency
