Thank you! We are heavily inspired by nordic biology and culture, and lynxes are one of the wild felines we have up here :D

@@CorebreakInteractive Guilty as charged. I've had an affinity for the cute lil buggers for about 25-30 years now. I see from a comment above its Nordic inspired. Seems alot of Nordic stylings coming into games lately too with stuff like Valheim, Aska, Jotun, Northgard, Tribes of Midgard, etc.
New game with a Lynx as a main character? am i dreaming? Finally a worthy title to add to my "Shelter 2" & "Paws" shelf on steam. Purchased instantly.

This looks very promising. I felt a very strong Inherit the Earth vibe.
Never heard of it before, but it does share some similarities! (mainly that the cast is anthropomorphized animals :D)
@@CorebreakInteractive I was kinda hopeful that this one was inspired by Inherit the Earth and resolves the 30 year old cliffhanger that one ends on :P Got it wishlisted.

i enjoy the art style and the warm backgrounds especially but i am curious about the difficulty in the combat since this game is meant to be cozy
The combat is relatively difficult, but we offer three different difficulty modes depending on how engaged the player wants to be (casual, normal and wild) :D

We offer different difficulty modes to cater to the experience the player wants :D For people who prefer a more laid back experience, we have a casual mode!
I was curious until the moment I saw the word *Cozy* bruh
I was interested untill it said that it was a souls like. We don't need more souls likes. UPDATE the original comment was made hastily and in a bad heads space, I no longer stand by the tone, I agree that we need more cozy games that can take subject matter seriously without devolving into angst.
honestly, while I do agree that there are too many souls likes, and gaming is becoming too overcrowded with souls likes and I am also tired of them, I think this comment was a little rude. they're a small developer making something that they wanted to make, and I think thats cool and something to be celebrated.

Story time: We noticed a lack of actual top down souls-likes with good combat (the only mainstream one we could come up with being Tunic, even if that is more Zelda-like) so we wanted to try our hand on it. We also wanted to have a story with more serious themes, but keeping it less grim than what souls-games typically are (hence the cozy artstyle, character designs, etc.). Everyone is entitled to their own opinion ofc, and you can't appeal to everyone :D

Honestly the trailer was pretty boring. If there was some sort of voice or more exciting music I would have enjoyed it more.

Does “Souls-like” essentially mean that the fighting/boss battles are incredibly difficult? 🫤
If so, that’s a shame because it’s a gorgeous game & I’d love to buy it…I’m just *REALLY* terrible at combat.
Edit: ok, so I read a prior comment about the different difficulty settings, which is awesome…but I still have to add that I’m really, really, REALLY bad at combat. So I guess I’ll check it out and see if there’s a demo? 🤷🏼♀️👍🏼
We sadly don't have a demo, but Steam does offer refunds if you have played less than 2 hours and it's within 2 weeks of buying the game. Not the perfect solution, but I do hope you give it a try!
