i wish i could tell saddleman, you're the reason I'm buying their seat. Especially after you explained in another vid about house the corbing and mustang were a little to fat and you liked the sleekness of the mustang. that sold me, so thank you.
Thanks for the update-so happy to hear you're enjoying the miles. As you mentioned the seat does require a bit of a break in period before it relaxes and conforms to the rider. Typically about 350 is the magic number- that being said our seats are designed and built with a higher density foam which does not compress or collapse while you ride. Although it's a bit counter intuitive a denser foam offers more support than a soft show room styles foam. That and our Gel Core technology offer a superior ride for years and years and many many miles. Thanks again for the review.
I love reviewing motorcycle stuff and when I come across something I truly like - I let as many people know. In this case, your seats are truly amazing and I think the density is what makes it look nice even after you've ridden it as long as I have. Great seat!
Great timing as I am looking for a good seat. Corbin is very expensive. The step up seat by Saddlemen looks great. I also would like the brown with black stitch. Thanks for the review.
I'm buying a sportster this weekend that has this seat. Glad it's a good seat. I also bought a really expensive seat for my goldwing and it's typical they need a break in period.
New intro! Oh yeah baby.. looks amazing my man. Also, I'll correct you saying that this will be the second giveaway that you do, because I won the first one lol
I ordered one back in early December and I'm still waiting on it. Apparently, they found a defect in the seat pan and had to take it back to R&D to fix it. They haven't been very good at updating where they are at with it. It's been almost a month since I was notified of it. Glad to see it's worth the wait but I've not been impressed with the customer service.
@@dadwithabike I think it's only a few more weeks based on what others are saying. Although it's frustrating, I am glad they are fixing the defect. Communication would have made it easier.
I have a 2021 Harley Iron 1200, i have approximately 1500 miles on the renegade. i can ride for about 1.5 hours before it gets uncomfortable. It looks good but not an all day ride for me.
I think I ask you about about your "Dean Speed" Crash Bars. If you had a video. I believe you mentioned something you did, but it erase or something to that nature. Are they hard to mount? I just got mine today. Thank you.
Man I have a Bobber 20 being built now and I NEED to bring a new seat when I pick it up from the dealer. Really want an Alex Leathercraft but don't want to mess with tools when I go get the bike. I think the Saddlemen might be a really nice interim... Are those the Dean Speed Crash Pegs on your bike?
Do you find that the Saddlemen Ls seat is enough lower back support for the scout bomber's power? I'm tossing up between comfort seat and this saddlemen, but not sure which has better lower back support
So there's not much lower back support on either BUT the Saddlemen doe certain keeps you planted when you grab a handful of throttle. It's an awesome seat.
Do you sit lower on the saddlemen solo than you do on the stock seat? If so, do you know by how much? Just deciding what bars I'm gonna have when my bobber comes in.
I don't sit lower, I sit about the same. You are able to scoot back a bit more because the rear of the seat is a bit higher. I ride with a set of 8" Vaulted bars and they put my hands just below my shoulders. I'd say if you did 8-10" bars you'd be golden if you the same height as me. I'm right at 5'10"
@@dadwithabike awesome, I thought so. Yeah I test rode the bobber 20 with 10" mini apes and they were perfect. I'm 6ft tall. Your videos helped me decisions alot and when I get my 2021 Scout Bobber, will get Saddlemen Ls solo and probably the 9" passenger pillion 😀
Unrelated to the seat, I am gonna ask anyway. During your research and many parts swaps and setups, did you ever find a cool looking solo rack other than the indian one and/or, one that's quick release. All I find is indian, then there are 2 others that are super flat and look out of place completely on the bobber.
So the only other one that I found that wasn't attached to a sissybar was from Hepco and Becker and that is the flat one. That's largely why I ended up going towards a 2-up seat. I needed to carry stuff and all the racks I found were HORRIBLE. If I was decent at metal working I'd craft my own ... but I suck at it :)
@@dadwithabike I feel the same way. I may get with combustion industries and see if maybe they are down to come up with something that follows the curve of the rear fender and has something custom dead center of the rack. A rack would look good iffff, it curved more with the fender or sat lower or something.
@@dadwithabike thanks! I wasn't sure, so I was getting a second opinion. Seat looks good! I went with the brown mustang about a year ago, maybe longer, and I love it. Corbins are so expensive but I've only heard good things about them, but I don't think it's worth the price over what you got. I've sat on the step up by saddle and really dug how it backs you, but not a big fan how it sweeps over the fender...
I've used Ram Mount as well as QuadLock and I have liked QuadLock the best. That is what I use now, the QuadLock mount for motorcycles and the vibration dampener
I moved away from the saddlemen because I needed a passenger seat from time to time. I didn't like the saddlemen pillion seat look and getting the step-up wasn't happening due to delays. I ended up getting a Mustang Signature Jared Mees seat.
Does anyone know why every single stock seat is so terrible? It doesn't seem to matter what brand...is this just a ploy to get more money out of people?
I know right - the first things anyone EVER changes on their bikes are seats, exhaust and handlebars - figured the manufacture could go a little bit more and make those all suck less

I'm glad to hear it, I truly do love my Saddlemen - best seat I have owned in a long time.

How would this compare to the newer Rogue seat?
Mine arrives next week
I'm little confused the seat only comes in brown color? They have 2 types choices stitches idk ! Was looking for black color! Thanks in advance
They come in brown and black and you can also change out stitching color to suit your wants as well
Thanks again!

They are REALLY easy to mount. You take off your foot peg brackets, put the crash bars on, then remount the foot peg brackets.

Hey is that the tan cork brown or the dark brown ?
Between the two actually. It's a medium brown, almost gum color.
Wgat do you think for the sadlemen step up for a 6"2 guy
I think you'd like the step-up a lot. The way it steps up in the back makes it almost like a back rest.
@@dadwithabike so between sadlemen step up and extended reach seat from Indian what do you prefer?
@@juanvelazquezn I haven't tried the indian seat but I would rather a Saddlemen
Did you go flat or gloss black for the crash bars? I got a thunder black scout b, can't decide which would look better...

Just a basic magnetic one from Bilt - it's small enough to hold my camera gear and other things...
