Been a musician for 25 years....I may not have been alive during their 1974-1980 golden age, but I am a hardcore KANSAS fan and have seen their classic videos extensively and have all their albums. Trust me when I say they have not sounded this good live since 1980.... I have seen them several times with Steve Walsh, Robby Steinhardt, David Ragsdale, and the current lineup - I even made it out to their 35th Anniversary show with Kerry Livgren and Steve Morse in Topeka, KS 10 years ago. I miss Steve and Robby's energies/spirits greatly and the chemistry they had on stage. But even when Kansas played with those guys over the last 25 years, they still only had FIVE MEMBER lineups. They could never produce their epics live in their true glory. We now get to hear that and thank god. Two keyboardists and two guitarists? Fucking amazing!! That just shows what a big hole the original members left behind and how difficult it is to fill their shoes. But this lineup is absolutely fantastic and does the music justice, all biases aside.
It's a strange aberration, this brainstorm of youth Though it's lost in translation, from fancy to truth It's hopelessly human, both inside and out A joyous occasion, no reason to doubt It's easy somehow What once was elusive is calling me now I am waiting, I am patiently Doing nothing, in a reverie Climbing higher, seeing everything Interacting, slowly, spiraling I am giving, I am watching the Life I'm living, precious energy Escalating, what was once just a game It's never the same, no one's to blame (Instrumental break) It's a strange situation, there's no cause for alarm All these hot licks and rhetoric, surely do you no harm They're hopelessly human, both inside and out A joyous occasion, there's no reason to doubt When each word is read Would you know the difference if nothing was said? All is rhythm, all is unity I am laughing, as it's meant to be Just amusing, I am using the Word was given, making harmony Moving slowly, dancing aimlessly Endless circle, turning fearlessly Resurrected, falling down again Introspective, I'm just stating my views Now you can choose, what do you feel? Is it for real this time?
This line up of Kansas is bringing it. My Wife and I have seen them twice on Leftoverture Tour. Excellent live Rock Band. This is a tough song. There's never been a bad Bandmate in Kansas. This version proves that point once again. Thank you Kansas for not listening to your critics, but listening to your true fans. Can't wait to see you next month in Clearwater Beach Florida.
Norm S, (1) Steve was very limited in what he was able or willing to do. Not all his fault but no matter how you look at it, he couldn’t have pulled this off. (2) Kansas never had a band member named Robbie. (3) Lady Gaga still has all her original members. We’ll just have to see if anyone remembers her in 45 yrs
Awesomely Outstanding Bad Assery!! Never thought I'd ever see them do this song live!
This was at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. When I think of the Ryman, I think of the Grand Old Opry. Never knew rock bands played there.

Outstanding vid of a Livgren masterpiece! I am so stoked to see them in B'more in November!
Rick Yon! Thanks for all the great uploads over the years! I'll be at The Lyric too for Kansas!
First time seeing them. Was blown away by the musicianship and the performance of Ronnie Platt. This was easily one of the best shows I have seen.
THANK YOU FOR THIS!
Amazing song!
David Manion killing it on keys,,he really covers a lot of ground on this one!

Yes, Robby Steinhardt. He was the band's original violinist and co-lead singer from 1973 to 1983 and again from 1997 to 2006.
Norm...you have to be "that guy"...lol......KANSAS is a BAND not one individual....who's Robbie????
