This is a side of them that were rarely get to see, but they've always had it in them. That said, Su's vocals are hitting a whole new level.

Even now BM is still so young... looking up the way she does, adjusts the angle of her throat.. which modifies the sound.. or sooo I heard from a vocal coach.. the same with Moa moving her head up and down while doing her backing vocals.. they are sooooo well trained

My understanding is that looking up helps convey sadness or melancholy, Su was probably using this to add more depth to the emotions she was trying to show. I have seen other singers do this exact thing for sad songs. Or I could be totally incorrect, but either way a spectacular song. Peace.
I find it interesting that Su and Moa's body language communicates two opposing emotions just like their singing voices. One is excited and the other is calm down.

It's a very personal performance. Rather than us as the audience experiencing it with thousands of other people. This performance speaks to each one of us. Up close and personal. And yes, it's ALWAYS nice to be surprised by them. They have never done anything like this before. Same as having Chibi-Babymetal to sing with them at a concert. There's always something new with them. Never, ever, underestimate them.
The three in the hooded robes are speculated to be Chibi-Babymetal, the same three who were at the last concert. Just speculation with no evidence other than their heights.

After having seen Suzuka sing many solos many times (and I have seen her focus her gaze like this before). My take on her looking up is that she is imagining who she is singing to and how she feels singing it. Suzuka is a rare vocalist who shows her emotion and makes the viewer feel what she feels.
Also I believe that the three hooded individuals are either symbolizing that Yui is not forgotten or that it is another nod to the third member rumored to be joining officially on April 1. My opinion of course.
SU songs are all about the gaze.
In this song, he sings about the past in monochrome colors, the reality that is progressing in monochrome colors, and the hope for the future that is illuminated in rainbow colors, with a gaze as if looking into the distance.
No backtrack on Moa. She has her channel doubled (poss trebled). She's singing the lower line on the first and a harmonizer on the second at a (?) above and a third at octave.

Muscle-metal aren't official members so i don't think they're part of this, plus they only dance during live performance, they don't sing, if any that could be the new BM mirror unit from another world of this metalverse.

I think the white robes, like in Karate, represent themselves. Both their past as 3 members and the future as 3 members. Just my take
If you want something similar emotional experience I'd suggest Babymetal - Akatsuki unfinished ver. I know that you have already done Akatsuki before but trusm me it's well worth it. Only performed once. 🤟🦊🤟
That moment you stopped and talked about where Su was looking, I thought she reminded me of Su as a child, If you watch her old school recitals, she had that same mannerism, as well as gesturing with her arms and hands.

Yes. Exactly. The official Babymetal website has been showing an image of three glass coffins for the upcoming April 1st/April 2nd performances - one coffin with Su, one with Moa, and one empty coffin. Now we see another tease with three hooded figures. April 1st will be the big day...
Well North of awesome. Thousands of BM fans are currently peeling onions. She has emerged as a wonderful vocalist and Moa alongside at the mic. The three figures is probably Koba (zen like manager) messing with fans heads again. Fuelling speculation that a third member will be added soon and causing more fan frenzy about Yui

So much better than the corny guitar version i really dislike that version, this should have been on the album instead. Amazing voice and sound quality
Love the performance but it sucks that there's a bit of autotune on her voice. You can hear some clipping/pitch shifting in some transitions and I know for a fact that Su doesn't need it.

@@johnschultz7765 Could be from post production, but you can clearly here in a few spots some clipping and pitch shifting. I'll try to find timestamps for your. By the way it's not a criticism of Su, she's amazing and I heard her live in person. My point is, it wasn't necessary. As for not having autotune on these one-take channels, that's just wishful thinking. Sadly it's so prevalent everywhere that 100% raw performance would be perceived by the majority of casual listeners as "bad" and few talent management companies would risk their artists' voice cracking in one of these videos.
@@johnschultz7765 you can really clearly hear it (in the original video, not here) at 2:14 when she goes down a bit and at 3:17. It's subtle (not your rap type autotune) so you need a good pair of headphones. There's a few other instances, but those are the easiest to spot. It's really typical autotune artifacting.
@@johnschultz7765 yes there is a light autotune there, idk whats up putting autotune on Su, she obviously dont need it, maybe post production or Koba a Melodyne freak, listening on my Presonus Eris 4.5 and Sub8!

I absolutely love BABYMETAL and Su and Moa are so amazing. I just wish they could have been more relaxed and out of character for this. Like LiSa was in some of hers. Obviously the girls are very talented and sounded so beautiful, but I wanted to see them have a little more fun. See them smile and giggle before or after. They just stood there stiff as a board because they are told too. The 3 girls in white was mysterious. BABYMETAL always keeping us guessing. 🤘🦊🤘

You can Su often see looking up when she is really focussing on something or thinking hard about something. That’s kinda her focus point.
This is one of the most emotional performances of Babymetal I have ever seen (along with “Akatsuki - unfinished”). A beautiful masterpiece ❤🤘🔥🦊
