Hell let loose, rising storm 2, squad are pretty good. But none of them do it for me like Red Orchestra 2 & rising storm does. It was a perfect balance between ambience, realism and gameplay. The game mechanics, how weapons react and sound are just amazing. Newer games fail to meet the standard. I don’t know why even rising storm 2 which is developed by the same people isn’t the same

I think it’s because of rs2s more modern time. It’s much faster paced with full auto instead of bolt actions
Rising Storm 2 technically wasn’t developed by the same people. Tripwire Interactive developed RO2 and RS1 while they got another studio, Anti matter games to make RS2 for some reason.
I like how they included both the Type 100/40 and Type 100/42, it's a nice attention to detail as the two weapons have an almost jarring difference especially in fire rate
@@fatihmericozarslan3245 I've played it way to much. Honestly to the point where I was able to put accurate knee mortar shell only by hearing where shots were fired from. Imho much more fun factor than Red Orchestra 2 (I know, blasphemy)
@@Hooby. yes it is. It has a strong community behind it. Also it has BOT support for new players. This game requires patience and skill to play. In other words, its a Realistic game
i think the RO2/RS is one of the few games the ammo system shows the character, if having an unfired cartridge in the chamber, reloading an extra round. it enen have the option to manually cycle bolt action rifles
Developers at Tripwire Interactive: Well, I guess we can't animate the .30 Cal machinegun to look like it's having the bullets fed through the action, so let's just hide the machine gun belt during firing and reloading. Developers at Infinity Ward, DICE, Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games, and Kojima Productions: Pfft...HA! Amateurs!!!!!
not many Pacific Theater-based WWII games today. whenever I select a WWII game, I see Nazis, Nazis, and Nazis. never any Imperial Japan, never any Stalingrad, never... really anything except Nazis.
Ikr? Like the Pacific has actually a lot of settings to offer but they are unexplored in 90% of games, not everything was US vs JPN, I kinda roll my eyes everytime I hear "new WWII game" and I see for the 900th time Normandy or somewhere in France like jeez at least try to be original but seeing that being original doesn't cut it well I can't really blame them
Still one thing that bothers me - Type 38 and 99 used the same gunfire sound, when in reality Type 99 should have been louder (Due to ammo difference - 6.5 vs 7.7 mm). Were they too lazy to just higher the pitch a little?

You've never played Post Scriptum then.

This is the only game where I was able to throw my weapon to the ground to shoot a banzai charger with my sidearm in the heat of combat,
First Red orchestra has a mod called darkest hour. Honestly, one of the most realistic experiences I've been offered in a ww2 game.

US: Ahh sheesh... here they come again.
Shit, I just heard it only by reading your comment and I've played Rising Storm *years* ago
@@Lejdorf And you liked that game?

Wow cool guns
What a game this was :)

You can get an Arisaka without the bayonet in this? Never seen that before.

Fun fact: The creators of Rising Storm and Red Orchestra 2 are the creators of Killing Floor.
WAIT! THERES A DIFFERENT FIRE RATE MODE FOR TYPE100?
The first one is way better it’s the level 25 upgrade
@@domjohnson9188 i got full level on type 100 but i never know it has a fire mode switch XD. thought the upgrade was just adding the bayonet
Yee new vid

@@stefanoartuso001 thanks
@Jardmang it doesn't matter, I'm used to games like this, I played the reality of the project and the red orchestra

6:04 The way that this guy holds the gun is like a 90s shooter when the character doesnt know how to center the gun
