@@zubairkhan-wb5sy when he was broke, Abel supported him and sometimes trained for free. So now they should make a bank together on the usual terms - 10% for the coach. If he will make 98, 96, 90 or 70 mln usd it's still gigantic money and he'll be sorted for life, but now he act like a greedy pig without honor and that's bad. That's my opinion, you don't have to agree with me.
I like Golovkin as a fighter but he has disappointed everyone as a human being. While he certainly has the right and privilege to change trainers, it is clear that he is disingenuous as to the reasons for the split. He is evasive. Never does he offer a direct answer, even when speaking in his native language. Abel Sánchez invested in Golovkin at a time when promoters would not accept Golovkin. With Sánchez Golovkin went from an unknown Central European fighter who was languishing in Germany and beating up inflated welterweights, to the apex of boxing, and more importantly boxing history. The stretch lasted nine years and the entire panoply of belts and records, including tying the Bernard Hopkins seemingly untouchable, number of successful title defenses. Because Golovkin merely mumbles incoherent and non-responsive sentences in English, Sánchez served as his voice and defender. Like him or hate him, Sánchez took Golovkin to rarefied air that appeared impossible when it all started. The circumstantial evidence surrounding the “why” question, particularly the “ why now” when you only have a few fights left in you, is somewhat conclusive. It is simple. Because Golovkin does not want to share the $100 million dollar contract that Sánchez and others put him in a position to get. Is Golovkin paying his new trainer, JB, the industry standard ten percent? This question is significant. It is also meaningful that Golovkin did not engage in a formal interview search effort. Had he done so it would have been impossible for him to conceal that money is at the root of the parting of ways. At such time he would have had to communicate to prospective trainers the financial terms of the arrangement that he envisioned. Interviewing only one person, in addition to demonstrating poor judgment and a less than professional approach to the matter, also allows him to conceal that he in fact was price shopping. Credit Canelo who said in one of his most recent press conferences leading up to the Jacobs show, that loyalty and honor matter most and should be at the top of the list. Golovkin may have the very studied semblance of a choirboy, but in fact he is just another person who believes that gratitude and loyalty play no part in a person’s life when it comes to money. Now, at 37 he discovers that he needs to learn. Yet, after the first Canelo fight he failed to learn, notwithstanding the cries from fans and pundits, the need to go to the body or to stand like a man and to trade in the middle of the ring with Canelo. In between rounds one could hear Sánchez pleading with him not to give Canelo so much respect and to go to the body. Instead, Golovkin backed up and hid behind his jab just as he now hides behind evasive and indirect answers even when responding in his native tongue. The truth is that he was afraid. Now the new Golovkin no longer mentions “ Mexican style.” Instead, the reference is to “my style” Gennady, how much are you paying you new trainer? Is it less than the standard industry fee of 10 percent? Is it a flat rate? Just one more question. Why did you run from Canelo? Was it because you were not being taught to defend your ground?
It's none of our business why they split. It came to an end and that's it. Villegas shouldnt have instigated by bringing up what Abel said especially since he also interviews Abel. Also, Abel can say he sacrificed time away from his family but that is what he signed up for as a trainer. All trainers do this and are paid for their services. Taco reference at the end😂
Used to be my favourite boxer. Now is on the bottom of the list. Triple G. Greedy Gennady Golovkin.
greedy? wtf he has a life to make after boxing politics screwed up his career. it has been known for a while ggg was coming down from his peak and that when people picked fights with him. even then he gave fans really good fights. i cant remember one fight of his that was boring. he has a right to want to make more money at this stage because he on the decline. if abel wants more money thats is fair too but you cant force ggg to give him more money. i mean he has a few years left. after that thats all he has. most networks do not hire casters or commentators that arent english speakers too so hes kinda effed on that end too.
Did ggg dye his hair could always sworn it was black lol
You know boxing me fight me win big show Abel mmmm big show
I like Golovkin as a fighter but he has disappointed everyone as a human being.
Now the new Golovkin no longer mentions “ Mexican style.” Instead, the reference is to “my style”
Gennady, how much are you paying you new trainer? Is it less than the standard industry fee of 10 percent? Is it a flat rate? Just one more question. Why did you run from Canelo? Was it because you were not being taught to defend your ground?
Now that he got rid of Abel he afford a translator.
It's a business relationship at the end of the day. Quit being 👃 people.
