Day Oner for Ez Mil here. I was fortunate enough to fly out to Vegas for his very first show called Apollo Night.
His family is one of the most down-to-earth nicest groups of people you could ever meet and so are those that surround him. I met his mother, Hazel, and she took me back to meet him. A friend of mine, Malou, and I brought him gifts that we left before the show and the next day on Facebook he came on to thank everybody for coming to the show and he had our gifts and thanked us for them as well. What a humble, smart guy!
I brought a big Filipino flag with me to the show and during Panalo
I got Sheela Kunishige, who opened the show for him and was now in the audience, to toss him the flag and he draped it over his shoulders and finish the song and afterwards signed it for me. It's still one of my prized possessions.
The story behind the line about the kitten and murder is that there was a guy in the Philippines that he was pretty sure made a meal of this kitten that he used to see.
