Bob Gregory: Amen Brother! Just imagine how far out it would have been had we had access to all the media we do today back then... The low number of views, likes, and comments here is ridiculous. At least there are no thumbs downs!
I was thrilled to see Ray do this show at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA, minus the choir. Took my son who is a huge Kinks fan, bigger than me even. Just came across our tickets last week cleaning out some folders. I feel Ray is one of the premier storytellers of rock. He and Dave are right up there with the very best rockers of all time.
Knapp 50 Jahre später: Till the end of the day - Ray kriegt kaum noch einen richtigen Gesangston raus und vergeigt wieder mal den Schluß. Den Chor muß ich loben - der rettet einiges. You really got me - so gut wie noch nie - ich liebe diesen wunderbaren Chor!
The full choral choir is an excellent way to serenade that special someone that they really got you all day and all of the night. Next, add some power riffs!
Funny how i read recently on a Dave Davies comment that he was the last man rockin in the Kinks & that was around the time this was recorded lol Gotta love both Davies brothers much as they have that 'Hatred' for eachother lmfao
I find it shocking that people rave about these old rockers. I'm almost his age, and cringe at what is left of his voice. This is true of most of these rockers with untrained voices. They just don't last! In the first song, he is mostly talking to the beat. The highs are long gone. Come on - he's 77. Would you buy a Playboy with a woman of that age in the centerfold??? But go ahead and flame away, ignoring the bad singing. He was smart to have the chorus. That helped with the last 2 songs. I guess it is less noticeable in the huge crowd? And I'm sorry, but an elderly Ray Davies does not make the kinks! I'll stick with the original studio work, and listen with a smile.
Way, way underappreciated! One of the very best from the British Invasion! 🇬🇧
I say he's The GOAT songwriter
songs that will never die..all the band in Bucharest have this song in repertoire..really love kinks
You Really Got me has to be maybe one of the top five R&R songs of all time
Till the end of the day is the masterpiece for me
Amazing performance with that huge choir in the back! Great songs!
I really love to seeing these legends on the stage after decades , and The kinks still amazing ❤
This is the music I want to hear when I enter Heaven 💗🙏💗
Ray Davies can rock with the Kinks or anyone who plays with him been following him since the 60s Keep on rockin

@@gwenethgrieve4023 Ray has stated he never gets nervous before a performance. Ray loves to perform and is confident.

La voix ç 'est un peu éteinte, mais le talent est toujours là !
I can see how the WHO were influenced by Ray.
Ils n'ont pas eu la carrière qu'ils méritaient!!! La faute à qui...???
Sorry to hear but his voice was gone by this time. But the big productions were OkeyDokey!!!
I didn't pick up his voice being 'gone' lol. Sounds fine to me.
