We went with the 4 wheel one because we can tow it with our smart car or e-bike. Also found that a macerator makes it much easier if the Rv is higher than the tote. Question How do you like the gauge on the tote? Do you think it will hold up?
Yes, we are thinking a four wheel one would have been better and may be what we get next time. Thanks for the macerator tip. We like the gauge on the tote and so far it is working. It was inexpensive. We are thinking it will hold up, it has so far, but we haven't used our tote a lot in the last year. Happy travels!
Yes, I was curious if and how the gauge works. You just seem to use it to replace the missing vent cap? Would’ve liked to see how it works. Can you do all that again.. 😁
It really depends on the size of your black tank, which is what we based our size on. Our black tank holds 32 gallons and our tote holds 36 gallons, so there is no danger of overflowing. When we empty our grey tank, we have a gauge that shows us when it's full. We added that after our tote purchase, but you can buy a tote with a gauge. To empty all of our tanks takes three trips to the dump station if they are all full. 28 gallons would take us less space, but it wouldn't work for us. The only thing we would do differently is buy one with four wheels vs two. Having a tote is a great convenience. Happy shopping! 👍😊👋
We use our tote often. Some of the best parks do not have full hookups.
That is true. Many of the parks that we like don't have full hookups. We went without a tote our first year out. We are happy to have one now! 😊👋
These totes are great. But at some point they fail, so i recommend you only use it for grey water.
