Now for all the idiots complaining what is dubstep, basically it is: 140BPM, 2-Step Beat, Sub Bass any other stuff to define is just made up. Now lets check: 140BPM? + 2-Step Beat? + (with breakbeat type and hard dance beats too) Sub Bass? + (plenty of it)

Personally, Urbanstep isn't my thing, but I still respect the guy. I make music too and I can tell you that it isn't as easy as everyone tries to make it out to be.
awh, you could always use your voice and a vocoder to an extent and try to imitate an Jamaican accent? for example, hear this song: when da bass goes boom by the mavrik. love this song and the heavy quality beats he put in it, plus he used vocoder like i mentioned. just hear it and it could be insirational or give you ideas! im sure youll do fine :)
reggae is all about chords & skank, little bit random stuff, though it may sound empty because I don't have reggae vocalist to perform. Complextro is all about mixing/sound design.
