Great to see king Red Road 🦁💙 I've noticed a few males over the last couple of years keeping their boys near, and not chasing the off. Notch was the first, kept 5 sons with him. King Dark Mane did last year. He was actually was hunting with his boys when he got left behind and trampled by buffalo. So sad, I miss him so much 💔🦁💙
Alliances between males are tough to come by in the aftermath of the 4-5 super-coalitions that dominated the area for 20 years or so. It probably helps secure the safety of the pride.

@@saltedllama2759 How does keeping the young males in the pride help secure the pride? When Red Road dies, they can't mate with the lionesses due to in-breeding. They would be their mom/aunts/sisters/cousins/nieces. In-breeding won't help the pride.

Dark Mane, S8, and Red Road by far are the smartest and most dominant Lions of this park in a decade

Never saw a saddle-billed stork nesting before, so wonderful sighting as well as all these pelicans. Have never seen pelicans in Africa. Thank you for taking me to the bush that I miss so much since coming back last month🙏🏻♥️

@@peps4461 I not sure what you're referring to but Mandevu has been in two fight with Red Road, the one recently and one from a year ago. Mandevu was also in a fight around 3 to 4 months ago with an unknown male,. Where he sustained injuries to his hind legs and genitals, but the injuries sustained from the fight never seemed to have bothered him.
@@jimjones4189 some video came out few days ago where RR fought with Mandevu and its unfair to call that a fight i mean RR grabt Mandevu and man it was ugly to watch and the Sound uffff you know that sound when Lions eating and the bones cracking that sound i dont know how Mandevu manege to escape a live but the Man in video mantioned that and that he is ok. I didnt see a date on that video and when you comented that his face is no more like it was i tought if that was from that fight? Was it?
Mostly I need music. But from time to time I want to look into the phone and see nature. Beautiful. That nest was gorgeous

I'm so happy King Mandevu is okay and is healed, same with Red Road, my favourite kings, amazing video as always and look at the sheer power of that Lioness in the beginning, incredible stuff.

Took a screenshot shot of the Red Road. My goodness he is so gorgeous. Also, RR has always been tolerant of his family on the carcass, just go back to other videos. At most he would try to flip the carcass in direction he wants but always tolerant. The only time I saw him put his paw down is if female is in estrus than he lets nonone around, and will tell his sons or anyone off.

my question exactly, who knows what male lions they were in that video, what I saw was the male on top which they said was RedRoad had the other male which they said was Menedevo,, the male on top had the other male by the face pretty good for a while, the guides said they saw blood and a loud break , it looks like there were no marks on menedevos face at all , if it was Menedevo his face would be totally wrecked from what i saw in video, I did see a few cuts on red roads forehead but nothing !! I wish someone would confirm it was those 2 or it never took place! thanks you though for asking the question everyone wants to know the answer too!! come on virtual safari answer up please !!

They posted a video on stitching Tavangumi after he was shot, so several weeks later.
Likely it's a ~month old or so video.
They should write the date of filming in the description.
@@Murf1802it's might been RR in fight with a nomadic male passing through his territory instead of Mandevu..we really couldn't tell what male was on the bottom but that male on top look like red road.
@kylemisac2492 Thank you, it was on the mapogo utube channel,the comments go on forever, alot of questions about video, no certainly on what lions were even involved in fight, the video said filmed 8 days ago or does it mean they put video out 8days ago and who know when it happened! if it did just happen I would think virtual safari might have an update, but I don't pay for there channel !
What a great camera you use. Even during nighthtimes.. isn’t that too dangerous? Are you shouting with an 8K camera or perhaps more?

my taughts too , this my have been just before , but they did fight for sure , my guess is they record all week , then put out the best bits in a longer form , londalozi , mala mala etc , so why not tintswalo too ,

I don't know any male one on one that can beat Red Road or S8 in the whole park. Kinhs of kings also both are very smart to boot

Writing the date of filming in the description would be a great service to many viewers. I wonder why you're reluctant to do that.
You tell its was filmed after the Red Road had marks on his face. The fight happened over 2 weeks ago lions can heal fast especially if there eating well.
Tintswalo has never claim a fight with RR or Mandevu.. So in reality we don't even know, if they fought each other's there alot false narrative goes around other's channels.

It's unlikely they don't know anything. They could say 'Rumors, both are good and without injuries', but they don't. At least they could write the dates of filming under videos, but they don't.

First, it's not 'big brother' camera setup, we can only get glimpses of the wildlife.

Just to clear the air, i think the recent fight red road had with mandevo was actually about 5 months ago. If you look back in the video libuary 5 months you see headline mundevo injured , in that video you see mundevo injury , a few bite marks on leg , but also on his lower jaw , the guides at the time thought it was the birmingham youngsters , having seen the fight and injury to lower jaw , i think caused by red road ,so the recent video showing the fight was actually 5months ago
That's misinfo, you're talking about when Mandevu got his ass whooped by a nomadic male from Kruger. Now the Kruger male might not have truly been a nomad but he was definitely an unidentified male. There were some reports claiming it could have actually have been a coalition of two males because Mandevu's injuries indicated he was held hold while his back legs and genital region was attacked. But the video posted above is an older video, before the fight with Red Road. Plus the fight between Red Road & Mandevu was a recent fight, it took place within the last week & half.

@@chippiepaul232 Yes Mandevu definitely had a puncture wound to the underneath of his jaw & back legs from the fight he had about 4 months ago. That's why there's speculation he might have fought against a coalition. Because of the fact it looks like one lion held him down by the face while the other attacked his rear end. The same way Mr.t & Kinky Tail killed the 5th Majingilane.

If Red Road lets his sons stay, naturally his daughter will also, so does that mean he would mate her if she comes into estrus? I know RR would fight his sons to keep them away, but would they even try to mate with their Mother? So strange to think of. I know most males don't make it 2 yrs over a pride but he's done very well to raise these cubs to almost adulthood. Yep, his time is almost up I say, bc I don't want him to mate with his daughter. Yuck! lol just saying. Can anyone answer my question though? Would he do that?

Your never going to hear a word about Red Road thrashing Mandevu on this channel. Not only have the Tintswalo lodge been praying for Red Roads down fall, but they literally named Mandevu and his brothers coalition after their lodge, the " Tintswalo Boys ". This must truly be a hard pill for these haters to swallow, but you know what they say, everyone has to swallow a little crow every now and then LMAO. One thing you'll notice is that these Ranger will never compliment how truly magnificent Red Road is, It's mind blowing. I mean when have you ever known a Park Ranger to come across a truly magnificent male lion and not act accordingly, as in mind blown. I can't understand what the issue is with Red Road, but if he ever goes missing I wouldn't be surprised if one of these asshole ends up with a lion fur coat hanging in one of their closets somewhere.
Sad they won't give the RRM his crown but we will. I pray they don't mess with the RRM i do love him
