I only saw him savage the Micronix adaptation for NES, and was tempted to comment, "Perhaps he should've tried the one actually done by Activision's David Crane for the C64"
The C64 version also has the best gameplay by far. Unlike the others, it takes more strategy and skill than luck to capture individual ghosts (and get past the Marshmallow Man, for that matter), and everything looks and feels so smooth and snappy. This version also has the most speech. I get why the Apple II version is a bit clunky, but the Atari version could have been better--much closer to the C64 version than it is.

Don't really know how to play, I see. It's cool, when I was a kid I got this with no instructions and it took me two years to figure out how to beat it.
I used to spend hours playing this on my Apple, despite having no real idea what I was doing.
I had Ghostbusters for my Apple II, and I remember being surprised by the digital speech at the beginning. Not many Apple games had that.
Winston drove the forklift.
Oh man, I loved this game growing up! I still remember the sweaty palms from trying to run by Stay Puft at the end.
Think I prefer the C64 version. Amazing just how good the C64 sound chip was.
if it was the real new york the ghostbusters would get stuck in traffic while the PK energy level of the city reached the millions

Yeah, it's probably the best out of all of them.
I say probably because I haven't played every version yet. :P
I'm surprised that AVGN didn't mention this port of Ghostbusters.
I only saw him savage the Micronix adaptation for NES, and was tempted to comment, "Perhaps he should've tried the one actually done by Activision's David Crane for the C64"
AVGN is comedy, not really informative tbh
0:10 Ghostbusters! Hahahahahahaha!
The only versions of ghostbusters that don't play the Ray Parker Jr ghostbusters theme is the Apple II and the ZX Spectrum 48k
@MightyTallestZim82
For real? o.O
By the way, Lorfarius has uploaded a video to the C64 version.
It's an okay game (not counting the NES version)
On the C64 it had a charming aura.

Everyone used the name Peter Venkman.

Nice try, but the Atari 8-bit and C64 versions were MUCH better.
This game was horrid. admit it
