What is going on, everyone! So excited to finally drop the first iteration of the Goblin Mikankguu decklist! One quick correction: speaking about Totem Bird, I mention that you can overlay into it using “Ohime'' but I meant “Hu-li.” You’ll find that being able to overlay into a Totem Bird using Hu-li and Full Armored Xyz (and another material like Boom Mach or Nyannyan) is a really great additional interruption that the opponent often doesn’t expect.
Also here is a Google Doc with the Deck Core (minimum cards you need) and the variants from Sneaks and Krayden. I have moved to one ohime in main and cut the other 2 from the side. My 3rd arabesque is in the side still. 43-45 is the sweet spot for the deck. We thin a lot turn 1 and we run like 15 1-ofs. Not all of them are bricks but it helps bring the likelihood of seeing them down
Love the deck list. Can't wait for some more combo guides. Will take the deck to locals next week.

Another tech for the deck could be virtual world beast - jiu jiu, another non-destruction removal. Also just thinking about specialing Kagemucha Knight, bouncing him with arabesque and then specialing him again same turn seems kinda fun lol
I’ll have to look into Jiu Jiu, but yeah, the lines Arabesque can accomplish for us is really really nice! That Kagemucha line could be more relevant with something like Grand Bash. Thank you for watching!!

After building my own deck with your combo, for me gilasaurus is also a great way to acess to level 3 monster and the level 6 white wood is very very good for board breaker and she is also a tuner for syncro summoning

Will you make a decklist for Mikanko and pure variants post ROTA? Bad-ass can summon scrap goblin from deck and make the lvl 9 which equips 3 spells.
@@sakethparimi7664 absolutely! And trust me, the Mikanko Goblin build post-ROTA goes insaaaane. Really excited to show the end boards it can make (and yes, Bad-Ass being a 1-card Braver is so good)!
I appreciate you addressing the lack of Mikanko names. I definitely preferred when your lists were more focused on the deck. This just kinda feels like 3 Pile, but at least you’re honest with your thought process on what ratios are best. Would you consider making a more genuine Mikanko profile?
Firstly, thank you so much for watching and supporting - I definitely want to make a more “pure” list, but in the current Meta, I feel like the power-level is just slightly outmatched in comparison to the recursion and layered interaction of Snake Eyes builds.
That can definitely change when the new banlist drops and/or other various support pieces come out that we can consider as tech ideas.
I think combining engines allows for the Mikanko’s to keep up, and make it more difficult for our opponent to follow where our lines will lead to. But yeah, I’ll always have an eye on how to increase the Mikanko count.

@@yugi.woah11 Would you consider posting a pure list and also not hide that the deck is rogue? I get that people are used to profiles that can compete with the current meta, but there are also people (like me) that have given up trying to compete with the meta for now and just want to play a fun deck. Realistically, I'm probably NOT gonna beat Snake Eyes deck at regionals (even with a meta focused list like this one) but I could easily queue into a HERO player testing Mali at 3 on DB and that might be a good matchup.
@@hahathatsgreat2 I’m hoping in the summer I have more of an opportunity to post some fun “rogue/pet” decks for people! I think a big part of the reason my decks lean towards competitively viable is because my locals/testing environment is very intense and I need to deck build in accordance with that. Great content as always! One question, what’s the typical play you do with the Ohime, after you search it with Herald of the arc light? What Mikanko cards do you send to the grave with Ohime’s effect?
Thank you so much! It really depends what we have in hand already (like a Mikanko equip or girl), but sometimes you end up sending Ohime herself just to have access to another arabesque. But it’s possible to also search for Fire Dance if you haven’t already brought it into rotation. Thanks for watching!!

much better then SHS, all engines can be typically drawn together, and the bricks can be fixed while in hand. even in my own testing, symphonic and wheeleder are massive for playing past interaction. still the deck is sadly trading 1 for 1 in more scenarios, but def better then SHS
also symph mic is pretty sick too, and even opens lines where you can double normal (or tripple normal with grand bash if you run it) meaning tourguide isnt as bad with this many normals either. which you can make PEP with, or just link off. probably still not worth it, and droll still kinda fucks this deck, but sometimes with this many extrenders, you can still dump your hand into the field making braver and symph engine play through the droll. which is still a weakness but slightly more alleviated. still not happy with how many cards you DONT want to open, which is most bikers, armored xyz trap, hu li, nyannyan, and a couple of others, but Arabesque helps fix these hands.
@@GGxQuinn yeah, great points all around! You’re absolutely right about our ability to fix hands on the spot or pivot into GY plays if interrupted which is a huge plus to the construction of this build. As I said in the video, it’s completely non-linear but that’s part of the fun of mastering it.

@@andrewdoupe7140 hey there! I don’t think we have applications for it right now - our Mikanko traps do have some relevant graveyard effects, but they would be more for the grind game rather than interruption points. It might be a card to keep an eye on, but it’s not impactful for us yet.

It’s a 45 card main deck because we want to try and avoid/dodge some of the 1-of’s that we have in the list. This has always been the case with Mikanko hybrid builds where we try to avoid seeing our searchable equips (apart from Arabesque).

As mentioned we have a lot of 1 ofs and some cards we don’t want to open so the higher deck count is to help see them less often.
Additionally, needing room for nonengine and extenders necessitates higher deck count. We deck thin a lot so it doesn’t matter too much in the end. Feel free to minimize, you can make some cuts and come to 40-42 but ngl 44-45 feels better consistently
Tbh i think the end board of this is a little bit worse than the shs variant. I like that version slighty more than this one but this one is good too. Recently though i was thinking about running a melodious engine instead of shs because they can also get you into 2 level 4s and into the merrymaker or gear gigant x. Im not sure though cause its a big commitment in your extra deck

1) The SHS turn 1 board is definitely a lot stronger, but it severely lacks a definitive grind game. The ceiling on the Mikanko variant is lower but offers a ton of follow up and OTK potential.
2) melodious engine feels a bit too bloated for us and, as you said, is a lot of extra deck commitment.

Love the list! Very excited to try it out, I definitely get that room is tight, but what were your thoughts on cutting tour guide?
We prioritized the Symphonic engine because of its ability to dodge Droll and Imperm - Tour Guide also conflicts with our ability to synchro summon, which we really value in this build.
@@yugi.woah11 appreciate all the insights, it’s weird in my previous goblin decks Tour Guide always did feel like she could have been on the chopping block, but for a deck that doesn’t need it’s normal she just seems so value
It was an issue of too many starters. Tgu is a great starter, symphonics had the slight edge because they don’t need a NS to start, winds for totem, and it summons guitariss from deck which is a tuner for braver.
@@tylercoburn5336 you can definitely experiment with it, but as Krayden said, we just found that it clogged up space in the main.
just a quixk question. what do u end up doing with the xyz monsters who dont have any material anymore
@@MaximilianKönig-z1x hey there! I’m not sure about which monsters you’re referring to, but you can often link them off into another form of disruption like SP, especially if zones become clogged. I hope that helps!

What do this deck do against nib?
Hey there! So the deck can setup and early Gossip Shadow or Herald of the Arc Light depending on our hand, but we can also play past nib by being able to hold our normal summon option with Guitaar, and have a lot of recursive pieces in our GY such as Nyannyan, Guitariss, and the Mikanko girls (with Mayo in GY and/or Fire Dance in hand). This allows us to continue playing after nib.
For example, if you hold Arabesque with Nyannyan in GY, you can bounce the Nib token, summon Ha-re/Hu-li, and then chain block their search with Nyannyan’s summon. Now you have two level 3’s in order to make a rank 3 play or pivot into another line. This is just one of the various ways to play around something like Nib.

@@stefanr9653 SHS Goblin is still an explosive option that if given the chance to go first uninterrupted it usually results in a win. That being said, it’s resource intensive (which hurts its grind game) and can’t use power spells and board breakers, which is a bit limiting in this meta.
Mikanko variant has more grind and versatility.
I’ll probably post an updated SHS list at some point, though! Thanks for watching ✌🏻

@@stefanr9653 SHS definitely has synergy with Bikers (as a means of bridging into the archetype and having a boss monster who also operates similarly to our own boss monster).
