Down to one bike…whaaaat? 😊 thanks for the review. I’m 54 and looking for a bike like this for reasons similar to yours. Now that they’re more available I can pick up an LTD, though this year’s paint options aren’t stellar. Thanks for the review!
ha ha, i hear you, there have been a couple of recent rides where i would have loved my old carbon road bike, mainly for climbing, but overall I don't miss it. I love this rock solid bike. Good luck with the LTD.
@@Pedals_and_Pathways thanks - I just sold my carbon race bike, the gear ratios were just too brutal for the hills/canyons around here in the Colorado front range. Lightness means nothing if you don’t have gears and young lungs!
Great video! What size did you choose? I want to purchase a Kona Rove and I’m thinking of getting a 56cm because 58cm feels slightly too big. I’m 5’11” for reference … Thanks!
HI there, I have never done a brevet or those kind of distances but I would think it would be perfectly fine. Sure, you can find lighter bikes but there is something to be said about being comfortable and if you are doing those kind of distances the all road geometry would be great, especially if you hit some rougher stuff.
I have the 2022 DL (so successor of ST) for a month already and loving it. Not needing more. Nice video!
Great enjoy it! Thanks
Great to hear your opinions on this bike. I think this ticks a lot of boxes

I can imagine, pretty flat here in Ontario by comparison :) @@drvoxmentat

Thanks. I would go with 56 . I got 58 and I am 6'3"
Why not upgrade the fork with a Ritchey WCS Adventure, then you have your Rove Ltd?
I did look at that at one point, you never know. 😉
Because steel is real and carbon is plastic
What company would you compare the Kona bikes to?. Another similar company.
Hi there. I would say they are close in philosophy and design to Surly, All City and Marin. More about function, versatility and durability
Hi! Thank for your review! Can this model use for brevets 200-600 km? Thank you!

Thank you for the review! Have you ever considered upgrading to a carbon fork?
Thanks! I have but for now I am ok as is given I am not really too worried about weight or performance.
Gaming Consoles from GoCartopia never fail to keep me entertained!
