After a long time, I am listening to a fair and straightforward analysis. After Annamalai's departure to UK, BJP had lost it's moorings. Welcome back Mr. Sheshadri.
Annamalai is the best bet for TN BJP no doubt. But he needs a good lieutenant / confidant to work with him closely. This confidant will have to go to the grassroots level and grow the party. After all Annamalai has created this quintessential awareness amongst the TN population on BJP's presence in the state. But that alone is not going to cut it. To win against a formidable opponent, it is critical to acknowledge their strengths. DMK and ADMK may not be as strong as they were during the time of MK and JJ, but one cannot write them off just like that. They are still very strong at the booth level and are "there" when someone needs them. Unfortunately though, TN BJP is currently carrying out the usual HERO WORSHIP out of Annamalai and are only focused on living in the social media world. Annamalai is not a person who cannot commit mistakes and nor is the party, but when a well wisher provides them feedback, they go after them; call them names. I am sorry to sound pessimistic here but I don't think this is something that is happening without Annamalai's knowledge. The sooner they buckle up, the better it would be for the party and for the people of TN. I am sure many will scream/shout at me or call me names, but this is the truth of the matter!

I live in Maharashtra and my name was missing and got it registered online before loksabha poll when Maharashtra list was released for assembly poll I found my brothers family and some other friends names missing I persuaded them and helped them to register online on the two days that was given to give corrections. The were registered got their voter card and voted. I think TN Bjp should visit families and discuss the central schemes and also check about the status in the voter list It is easy to verify online and if need be they should help them to register online with the help of laptop or so the process is so simple They should also ask the people to verify whether the name is deleted before assembly election list is released That way they can get more people to vote and also get their share of vote/ All the BJP supporters online can help in this work instead of discussing unnecessary issues online

Watching this episode after listening to Annamalai's speech in Kovai. I though feel the man is more suited for a role at Centre, his grasp of History, Economy, Geo-Politics will make him stand-out as advisor or handle industries portfolio. 2026 will be a very split verdict, even if BJP gains few seats to play a crucial ally for one major party then definitely TN will pave way for new direction. But it will be very tough given Joseph Vijay, Seeman both can dent their prospects and DMK as always will play strategically during the election.
