I often chase myself and when I do I make sure to let the store owner know that I'm chasing and I respectfully ask to reserve whatever I'm chasing for me only and that I'm either chasing in the store or from my car. And usually if you're known to be a good repeat customer who does chase the owner won't have a problem reserving a particular book or two for you. But if he doesn't know you're chasing more than likely he'll sell your ticket to the next man or woman. Communication is key

Buy the tickets at a machine, stand there and scratch the bar code off, then scan it. Leave money on the machine while doing this, means you are still playing and nobody can make you walk away from the machine. When you've chased, go back to the vehicle and do the show. Or, play at 6am or 9pm. Less people around.

Not matter what their reply is I say, you can wait till I'm done, or go somewhere else, but you're not gonna watch me lose, and buy the next ticket. I've even had illegal buys from the clerk or store owner on $20 tickets. Confronted them, and told them they aren't aloud to buy tickets, especially at the location they work at while on shift. Will never go back to that gas station. As for the machine, it's like vending, your turn isn't over because of the guy waiting behind you.
The clerk where i play lets me know if someone loses on alot and gives up also if im chasing he won't sell to anyone else and if i see someone chasing i won't cut in on them

I mean let’s be honest I’ll get annoyed if you give me a dirty look so doing something like that on purpose that’s just going out of your way to be rude. No thank you. I’d lie next time and tell people the other boxes of tickets… plus why you gotta do that anyway? I understand where you're coming from with people buying tickets you're chasing on. But people don't know if your won or lost on tickets or whether you're not going to buy anymore. I guess what i am trying to say is no one can read your mind what you're going to do next so don't take it to heart if people buy your tickets you're playing on.
