If you add a little cornstarch and chill before baking, they hold their shape even better. Cornstarch also helps make the texture extra melt-in-the-mouth.

Before baking sprinkle a little bit of Turbinado or Dememara sugar on top and you'll get the those types of butter cookies. I use Turbinado on top of the scones I make. Honestly I tried this recipe, when i was piping the form and shape was perfect. But in the oven it melted for a bit, and the perfect shape didn't exist anymore. Cookies are so delicious, but look is not. What should I change? Would the lower temperature help?

I tried freezing n even added two tablespoons extra flour . It did make the next batch a little better it didnt thin out but it still melted

Made ok. Tasted good. But cookies did not hold the design of the piping tip. They flattened out. What happened?
Probably becz of less structure, less flour as compared to butter

Try refrigerating for 30 minutes after placing it into the piping bag
