Darn I have to join this, her recordings /masterings are horrible and I too thought it was me. Adelle has a beautiful voice but the recording is just an all together mess. I had the vinyl and thought there was a problem so I bought the CD and it was still bad.
Yeah, its unfortunate. I use both bad and good pieces when I test. Because the crappy ones will sound better if the rig is improving.. The recording isnt getting any better, you can just feel the emotion of the performer better, and it does not bug you as much.. Thanks for commenting
I've had both and tested both the kinky studio and the pass labs. The Pass Labs sounded very anemic compared to the kinky Studio. The Kinki Studio was way more Dynamic and much more detailed. In comparison to pass Labs founded anemic and not involving as compared to The kinky. it's good but it's not great the kinky Studios worth three times the price.
Yeah , I'm pretty sure we can hear the difference. The Pass absolutely adds nothing, so you're getting no help there though it is crystal clear and transparent as its strong suit. Kinky would be slightly darker by comparison and fortify bass a bit. All be told, I'm over the Chinese gear. Main thing besides the fact that I dont want to support a communist regime that steals the land of peaceful inhabitants and kills or enslaves innocent people, is that there is no innovation to speak of from them. Low prices to bring the greed out in all of us. Eastern Europe makes far better product at roughly the same price. My money is on Europe. But it is the best preamp for $2K that's for sure. I just hate to repeat that as rationale for buying.

I'm with you on thinking her recordings are "par for the course" (which translates to "Popular Artist Mediocre Recording Production"; "Want's to imitate an actual Jazz Recording, but doesn't have the necessary 'Chops' to be one")
i have the exact same pass labs preamp i find its the best i com across as for bass. it goes very deep while staying in control not like other preamps what you think?
@@ketchupsos5817 I just looked and even the look does not jog memory , so they must not have any strong presence at shows here in USA, because I would not forget that form. . Right off the cuff I like the form factor because its unique, and quite interesting. I pretty much like any HiFi gear that holds its own design by itself, meaning this is a super cool piece for interior design, or unique install. I hope it sounds great !
@@stavman62 kinki Preamp 1900. I've got one left. Aleph p os like over 20 years old and brings roughly 1600 . AGD Productions monos are the closest SS amp I've ever heard to 845 SET amps and are 15k per pair.

I dont know really. These amps are solid state. Theres a class D module in the tube. It's not a fair comparison. Pass Labs is top level across the globe for many yesrs.. like 40. Give the Kinki kid more time to catch up !
