You gotta love and respect Brazil. We never had many cars with V8 engines, very few race tracks in a giant country. Bureaucracy, high import tax, very hard to find and import car parts. That is why we have perfected the most abundant motor available to the Brazilian market: the VW AP 4-cylinder engine (Volkswagen EA827). I had a 2dr 84 Chevette with a Olds Quad 4 out of a 89 Olds cutlass and a 5 speed...it was a quick very fun car to drive...like a little go kart that loved going sideways around every corner lol...It was my Corvette lol....got in a bit of trouble in that car and my neighbors hated me....but it didn't have a trunk like this Chevette...it was a hatch back. I had 2 bass tubes in it that would cause every pieces of interior plastic to buzz when the bass was booming lmfao...I beat that car to living hell and back till the engine finally blew after 4 years of torture...Thinking about it..it was the funnest car I owned......

My first car was a 1979 Chevrolet Chevette. I ended up putting 500k miles on mine before I got rid of it to get my first Camaro. Other replacing timing chains a few times on the Chevette it was a good little car.
